Loving Yourself Too Much On The Internet

Call me crazy but does anyone else get really turned off or just annoyed when someone post a picture with tags like #swag #hottie #whiteboy #asianboy #cutie #hotness.

Or those peeps that post a pic they obviously took 5,000 times then tag #bedhair #uglytoday #earlyrise #nothottoday.

I know this day and age people are incredibly into twitter, facebook, instagram etc.

But people take a pic and hastag a million thing's with them and when they try to talk about how much swag they have.. or how hot they are that is just not attractive confused

I think it is ok for someone to think they are attractive but hastaging it? dog...

And when they take pics that they have always done dozens of times and say ''oh my i look so ugly today this my natural look #realness''

I clearly am old and out of touch. Things like this simply go over my head.

Eh it's better that way!

In this day and age people my age are into posting pics ALL the time. Which isn't terrible... but they take pics to show how ''hot they are'' or do the classic say i am ugly and get good responses from it shtick.

So, what age group is this?

Are we speaking of teenagers? I hope so because if any of these people are in their twenties or older, it probably time to seek professional help and explore why they don't have a life.

lol

It's just youngsters in the phase of forming their identity.

And this is how they do it.

As long as they'r not being too judgemental, it's innocent I guess.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I don't have anything to do with sites like FB, Twitter, Tumblr etc. I find that stuff a complete waste of my time. The only site I look at where I read other people's posts is prince.org.

Amen. With just a random glance around general discussion boards across the net, some people are even still doing this in their 30's on the way to the 40's falloff

Sadly this is the age we live in.

There's a lot of self centered and narcissistic people in the world and because of technology, they get to bombard the world with their silliness.

Also no disrespect to younger people but a lot of em are stars in their own minds. They think their lives are some kind of movie or some shit. Its like some of them think they're entitled to fortune and fame. I kinda used to be like that but life kicked me in the ass and got me to realise that although were all special in our own little ways, very few people are unique... Its pretty much all been done already.

Seriously, no disrespect intended and sorry for the rant. thumbs up!

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

I learned the same thing the hard way years ago that I don't need to feel star like to feel good about myself, and it took a few sad things to learn it the hard way

I hear you.

Finding true happiness is multifaceted, takes hard work and is an inside job. I guess having a lot of friends and being popular can be a part of happiness(doubt it) but in my opinion, true contentment wont be found in superficial, external things.

What i would say to someone is be your own person. To me the most 'special' people are the ones that don't follow trends, status symbols, label themselves or have that Herd Mentality.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
