I think it's best to bring back shows that went off like roughly 7- 5 years or less. Try to bring back much of the original cast as possible. Don't want a "make over" or the crappy term "Reboot", but just continue the story where it left off. Shows that would fall into this catergory would be Terra Nova, Heroes (this series I could see as a big screen or into TV movies), Invasion, Threshold, Firefly (though this show has been off the air longer then what I mention could still get away with it) Justice League, Surface, Eastwick, Miracles, Happytown . I'm sure there is more out there but I picked alot of TV shows that lasted one season that I feel needed another chance.

I thought I was the only one who watched Terra Nova.

I would bet dollars to donuts the big shocker would be the settlers are actually send to a far furture Earth that regenerated after the human race.

Dynasty lol

If they can bring back Dallas, why can't they bring back Dynasty, which was a better show anyway? Yes,I know that John Forsythe is no longer with us,but I think the show could still go on.The show could actually begin with Blake's funeral.Krystle has inherited all his money and his company, which (as expected) doesn't sit well with Alexis.Let the catfights and drama begin! lol Blake and Krystle's daughter is all grown up now,so she could be a major character now.

They can't Bring back Dynasty because Alexis & Krystal don't get along in real life. Alexis is open to talking about it. That's why she was barely seen during the shows last years on the air. You have to bring back the old cast to carry the Next Generation..A SMART Producer will say "No Alexis to carry the show at least half-way through the season means NO Dynasty which means a reboot is Dead".

The ONLY Primetime show I wanna see rebooted is "The Wire"....The Emmys SLEPT on that tough-as-nails Drama...

Season 4 of the Wire was the greatest season in television history.

hmmm nah,I think it could be done.Joan Collins is interested and I know that Linda Evans could be "persuaded" to do it,if the price is right.Money talks lol Certainly, the other members of the cast would agree to it...Emma Samms reprising her "Fallon" role would be fun to see.Let's call it "Dynasty: The Next Generation".The new show could focus mostly on the younger characters, such as Blake and Krystle's grown daugher (can't remember her name).I'm thinking that they could get a major actor to appear in this....someone huge, like Robert Deniro...to make up for the loss of John Forsythe. Not to take over his role, just to add another big-name male character.

Dynasty could work if they brought in Heather Lockhart to be the Villianess. But Dynasty was so much bout the 80's and the excess of materialism I don't know if it would play todays audience.

that was one of my concerns, too. This show is totally about 80s excess and materalism, which may turn off today's viewers.

Manimal - This was a very short-lived TV series about a private detective who could morph himself into an animal to solve cases. Yes, the premise is stupid, but the special effects are much better today.

Miami Vice - Thanks to the successful redo of Dallas, Miami Vice could feature a new generation of cops while catering to a more diverse audience. Meanwhile, Sonny Crockett (Don Johnson) would be chief of police at the Miami-Dade Police Department, Ricardo Tubbs (Phillip Michael Thomas) would be the mayor of Miami, and Martin Castillo (Edward James Olmos) would be a congressman looking to bring down an evil drug trafficking cartel.

Girlfriends

Herman's Head

ALF

In Time - Actually, this was a big screen movie with a very interesting concept that was sloppily executed in a two hour film. This would be better exectued as a sci-fi series, which could explain the origins of the time stratification, on how the people were given the power of eternal youth only to have it taken away as a form of ciurrency, and how the powers that be used it to create a dystopian society. It could also have a group of outlaw humans who are not bound by the clock and do not have to worry about dying prematurely (but do age).

Wow, surprised nobody mentioned "The Cosby Show". That would be on the top of my list. Also:

"Cheers"

"Mary Tyler Moore"

Got to give it some more thought. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

I think all those 3 shows would be hard to surpass the originals.

Nell Carter was why that show even stayed on the air, that being said, season 2 is the only good season IMO.

They could redo that show.

But, I also like shows that are inspired by other shows such as the Martin Show that was directly inspired by Sanford and Son.

So, they coul do inspired shows, that are sort of redos, yet different.

I always thought the perfect spin off from friends would have been Chandler and Monica raising children. But, that ship had sailed.
