Girl, get down wit'cha bad self! faint

That's a popular berry for marmalade here! I was just in the store earlier debating whether or not to get a jar; it's on sale this week and cheaper than the blueberry Old Dude normally eats on his breakfast toast. I think I'm going to ask him later if we can switch out, because I'm curious to see how yummy it can be.

I love elderberries ! They grow wild heere in our pasture and they are really good for you too !

Chile, that jam was on sale for 99 cents (reg € 1,69); I picked up 2 jars yesterday. I walked into the house and screamed to my husband "ba-baaaay...look at this. this week we tryin' somethin' new" lol

WHOA!!! eek

Another dish I haven't had since leaving Miami Beach a million moons ago...okay...there is just something about the island style of curry and how it differs from its' east Indian cousin ...I have honestly imagined while being completely hopped up on this dish in the past, that is what crack must taste like drooling falloff

Saturday: Geek Pastitsio (with spelt pasta) and a mixed Greek style salad

Sunday I cooked for church...300 people with assorted crowd size dishes (none that memorable)...but as Potluck fellowship goes quick and by the time I'm done serving and Old Dude is done shooting the breeze after playing...the food is gone, and we just cook at home. So Sunday dinner was fennel crusted pork roast (all that talk of fennel with johnart, I had to give in to te craving duh )

and for lunch today, the leftover pork was used for focaccia panini sandwiches with white balsamic drizzle. The foccacia I made last week (using spelt flower) froze really well, so that came out today and the sandwiches actually came out good. I love balsamic reduction on everything from roasts to salads and fruit, and lately, I'm into the white ones even more than the reds:
