Become a Vegan

I've been seriously thinking about becoming a vegeterian for last couple of years. Not for any kind of deep reasons or anything, I'm just getting tired of eating meat, plus the health issues that invovles meet. So I found this cool website all about vegeterianism... I really like it. Almost as much as the org omfg NOT !!! lol But if you're interesting in becoming a vegeterian check out the link below... it's has some informative stuff, there's also stuff about becoming a activist...

I don't hardly eat meat anyways, I think it would be healthier if I became a vegeterian nod

If it tastes good, and doesn't feel bad later, I say eat it.

I've been a vegetarian for probably like...hmmm...7 or 8 years now.
I tried becoming vegan, no animal products whatsoever, and found it very hard to do.
So, vegetarian for now... I do see it happening soon, however, because dairy products are beginning to bother my stomach too.

sigh

Same here... I became one because my stomach ached from trying to digest the stuff. It seems that dairy is beginning to have the same effect.

Get used to Middle eastern food. After that, anything you'll try to eat won't bother your stomach anymore.

I hear you on the dairy, LaV. I haven't been able to drink whole or even 2% milk in years. I haven't tried soy milk yet, but I'm glad stores are now making fat free, lactose free milk, I'm dedicated to that stuff. Lactaid is too expensive!

it could also be all of the steriods and other shit that they shoot up into the cows... all of that comes right back out into the milk... nod...

have you tried organic milk..?

I had tofu once & I hated it - not the flavor, the texture. Should I try it again or will it always be like a crumbly, cooked custard?? ill

Skim milk is all we have, supposedly it's the steriod-free one (at least that's what the label says).
Still though, cheese is starting to make me sick. sad

the texture depends largely on how it's cooked... you should try hot & sour soup... nod... actually, just about any chinese dish that you try it in shouldn't have that texture...

Miss cute is absolutely correct. Many things will kill you before red meat will. Besides, you can not beat a filet mignon cooked to perfection, still pink in the middle with juices flowing. Yummy!!!

i like it... it feels better on my stomach and it actually tastes better (there's not a huge difference in the taste- it just kinda tastes better, if that makes any sense)... a friend of got me hooked on it... i was surprised by how much of a difference those steriods and shit make... it makes sense that you wouldn't shoot up on steriods and breast-feed a child... so, it seems wierd that shoot cows up with steriods and then drink that shit like there's no tomorrow...

As far as tofu goes, I like Hinoichi Firm... it's all I buy. It's standard practice for me to slice it, lengthwise, and place between papertowels for a few minutes, under a weighted plate. This removes a great deal of the water. It also makes the tofu, when cooked, an lot more pleasing in texture - for those who care. I can eat the stuff right out of the container it comes in.
