I'm currently writing a novel now, and the process has been exhilerating, exciting, frustrating, humbling, and empowering. lol

Using spell-check is killing me.

Let me guess.

The front door is half open. The man stands in front of the door, walks a few steps towards the garden fence. He turns around and walks back to the door. He stands in front of it for a while. Contemplating.

It doesn't anymore.

I think whatever ben did to fix the url issue also messed the spacing up. lol

I've been using the html tag <br> to overcome this, but you have to be in html view to do it, and

that is combersome.

I have written a poetry collection called the 7 Stages of Grief and Other Poems. It basically runs the gamut from the traditional Denial to Hope, though some have elements of more than one stage. And in reality you can go in backwards order...

i published some books a while back, early and late 90s you sit down and write. <-- THAT is the hard part.

good luck! publishing these days is easy, no need for an agent, or even a publisher when you can promote your own stuff online. much more fun these days.

So terrified of vanity publishing though. Like it caps the book's potential...

my 5 play cycle has the 5 stages of death as a foundation.

each play starts with one of the 5 stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, and each play has the death of a major character

I've written 3 screenplays, for no other reason than simply the joy of writing. For me it's okay if they never see the light of day in front of another pair of eyes, particularly as they are inspired by real time events and real folks in my rather eventful, kooky life. smile

I've always wanted to write a story but I'm afraid to.

i don't think that's necessarily true. there is a woman in MN who's sold over a million copies (.99 cents per) of her books, through online distribution and self-publishing efforts. if your work sells, maybe the Amazon online publishing department will solicit you, and offer you a contract. you can join support groups if you like. that works for some folks. my experience with that was that writers hold themselves kinda high in their own regard, which is tedious, and time spent at support groups is time not spent writing. good luck!!!

read about that here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...da_Hocking

Hocking lives in Austin, Minnesota.[3] Employed as a group home worker until 2010, she wrote 17 novels in her free time.[4] In April 2010, she began self-publishing them as e-books.[1] By March 2011, she had sold over a million copies of her nine books and earned two million dollars from sales, previously unheard of for self-published authors.[5] In early 2011, Hocking averaged 9,000 book sales each day .. .. ..

Had my ideas for my third book.

And it's going to be a serie.

But, first I still got to start with my 1st book.

And I'm not telling what it's about, because Genesia will steal my idea.

the stealing of ideas is an interesting topic . I always wonder about that . Like if i share an idea with someone and ... oops ... it gets made and ... what the hell !

i guess there are ways to safeguard against this ... but I am always surprised with like music and how some of the new songs sound EXACTLY like old ones ... confused

i love my work in the medical profession. it's unpredictable & interesting, it's one i've done for many years & never got bored.

i felt inspired very recently to keep a log of the funniest incidents, an incident a day.. of course confidentiality is observed & i think this stuff is good enough to share. i'm thinking that one day i might publish it on a small scale

i come into contact with many people, old people are the best, they come out with some priceless stuff. people are amazing!

1. Don't share it until it's registered with the WGA.

2. Re: music:

You can't copyright a chord progression, beat, etc. You can copyright a lyric and/or a melody and I believe that more than seven consecutive identical notes of a "top line" constitutes infringement.
