i think his hardcore approach is an act, designed to sledgehammer their egos out the way so he can rebuild things. he HAS to be tough on them; most of them seem stubborn to the point of self destruction, and stupid too, which is what he saves them from. themselves. it is precisely his calculated asshole sledgehammer approach i enjoy watching. even those who hate him later admit he was right.

that's true. there are definitely some harsh behind the scenes words being said to the chefs who resist ramsay. they come back on screen, after giving voice to an angry rant against him, speaking words of real humility like someone knocked them down and sat on them backstage until they saw the light.

i had a thought. wouldn't it be great if prince did a reality show with failing bands the way gordon ramsay does with failing kitchens? he wouldn't shout. he'd just stare them down over the end of his cherry lollipop. no need to bleep him, prince would never be so crude. he'd just beckon the tone-deaf, ultra-sequenced ones forward, peer at them over the rim of his shades and whisper, real music by real musicians
