RIP Dr. Joyce Brothers

Dr, Joyce Brothers, the ubiquitous pop psychologist who gained fame through TV and print media to become a worldwide sensation, has died. She was 85.

Brothers first gained fame on a game show and went on to publish 15 books and make cameo appearances on popular shows including "Happy Days" and "The Simpsons." She visited Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show" nearly 100 times.

Bless her soul. I hadn't heard her name in so long, I thought she had already passed.

I remember watching her television show when I was a little boy, around 7 or 8 years old, and thinking, "This lady makes a lot of sense, why haven't my parents told me that?". May she rest peacefully.

Damn.

First, NDRU's appendix,
now Dr. J.B.

All of the people I admire from afar are passing away.
