Chuck Barris, said in a LA Times interview he never did drugs, "had no use for them". Besides his only child died of an overdose. He went on to say though he did drink, he never drank during the show besides his company was a public company.

What others did on that show or didn't, who knows. But it was a crazy ass show produced by one crazy guy. lol

I know the producers must have been smoking OR drinking the wrong thing to allow THIS act on the show:

biggrin That episode and that show was notorious for its double entendres. Which is why the show was cancelled after the 3rd season.

Phyllis Diller said later she didn't got connection between "Deepthroat", and the pop cycles bit. Even so the episode was only seen in the Eastern time zone, it was pulled for the central/mountain time zones.

In his autobiography, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, he claimed to be a CIA operative, and that being a TV game show host and producer was the perfect cover for his black opps dealings. It was turned into an indie movie.

I'm confused. Was Barris on cocaine or the chick singing, or both???

Tee-hee!lol I think they were all pretty whacked out, especially that chick. But, I think her singing still beats the hell out of anything I've ever heard from Lady Ga Ga.
