Why does it take so long for some people to get karma and what is the worst case of karma you have ever seen? I was just wondering why it takes forever for someone to get karma when they do wrong and for others it happens ASAP. I know if I even think bad about someone, I will stub my toe terribly or something else awful will happen.
Also, what is the worst case you have ever seen of someone getting karma done to them? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I find it amusing when people talk about another persons karma and try to calculate what the another person deserves. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

The best is case is a co-worker of mine use to always bring up karma as though she was putting a hex on someone, somehow she thought if she didn't get her way that karma was going to get them for her.
I don't believe you can caluculate anyones karma, if it even exists. You could never know the anomalies that would effect this kind of energy. Best thing to do is worry about your own energies and not waste them on calculating others. It might bit you in the ass. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

Same here. How will you know when/how that karma manifests itself? Would it be in the form of some misfortune or catastrophe? Who's to say someone's unfortunate incident is bad karma for an injustice done to you? The only way to exact revenge is to to have some control over that person's needs or wants. Best thing to do is to concentrate on your own karma. What goes around comes around. Do good and it will come back to you.

If there is such a thing as karma, why do innocent children (or people in general) get raped, killed, tortured, humiliated? And why do warmongers, bankers, greedy CEOs, child molesters, rapists and other scum walk around freely and happily without a care in the world?
I do believe that what goes around comes around and that we somehow reap what we sow but logically, it seems like an absurd idea and I am very aware of how paradoxical it is to believe in such things. And I wouldn´t even call it "karma", since that term is something from the Hindu religion and I doubt that it´s accurate to simplify Hinduism´s rather complex idea of karma to fit into our day to day lives in the socalled western world. ( And I can´t stand Hinduism, but that´s a whole different topic ).
There was this pimp in my hometown, a friend of a friend of mine, who used to think he was above the law and invincible, and he really was....until he fell from his yacht and his own yacht´s propeller cut off his leg. That´s probably well deserved and what you get for torturing, threatening and raping people but far be it from me to knock his hustle. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Yeah I have wondered about that, too. It seems like some people just get away with things forever but ultimately it catches up to them in a big way.

and by what measure have you come to this conclusion? To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

I guess, not really, Roger. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

Ex-Moderator | I don't believe in karma in the traditional sense.
In general, I think if you're a nice person who gives out positivity and such people treat you in kind. If you thnk the best of everybody, more often than not that's what you'll get in return. And if you're a jerk, people are more likely to be a jerk right back to you.
But that doesn't mean good people don't have bad things happen to them or that bad people can't have a wonderful life free of consequences.
It especially doen't mean that if something bad happens to you that you deserve it in some "cosmic" way.

Karma does not exist, but generally people tend to get what they put out.
I honestly can't think of any situation because I don't tend to revel in other people's misery or misfortune...even if you can make a case of that person somehow deserving it.
Revenge is not only ridiculous but it's useless. If you're a good person with a good heart acting out in an act of revenge will only bring you down to that pathetic level and that will just end eating away at you in the end.

There is no karma. What's wrong in your eyes doesn't have to be wrong for somebody else, we all have our different rules.
Karma just a thing somebody made up to make people feel guilty.

My buddy is going through relationship issues. He left his wife & baby for someone he fell head-over-heels for (some of you may recall my thread like 2½ years ago).
Anyway it's complicated...his new relationship is passionate but a bit toxic, and while I can't say too much about it, I was sitting there on Sunday as he's sharing his tale of wore with me and in my head I'm thinking; "Karma".
Like Carrie stated; I also don't believe in Karma in the "traditional" sense...however, what you put out there affects what you get back. Every action has a reaction. The laws of the universe apply. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

You can't wish karma upon someone, you have to let god take care of it for you.
Not that I am at all religious, but you will find same thing in several faiths.
It's human nature to wish ill upon those who do you wrong, but revenge is not PC, so I guess next best thing is to let god/allah/whatever to look after your enemies I'm the mistake you wanna make

Isn't karma something more based on who you are as a person, as oppose for a tit for tat reaction on a single act? I would think that going around wishing bad karma for another person ends up reflecting on you in the long run. Idk.
