Bruce likes to have the "real" fans down front, so the floors for his arena shows are all general admission and, in the stadia, the front of the floor is G.A. Being the recovering obsessive that I am, I decided to go G.A. with some fellow Boss fanatics I know.

Now, like the lunatic that I am, I'd decided to limit my fluid intake, so as not to have to leave my place during the nearly-3-hour show (this after having to queue for several hours beforehand, the sun beating down upon us like the last verse of The Load-Out).

By the time the encores rolled around, I was as parched as the Mojave.

I dizzily made my way to a concessions stand and plunked down a ridiculous amount of cash for the largest soft drink they sold.

I downed that thing like there was no fucking tomorrow and resolved to never do such a foolish thing again.

Who knew I had a thirst story?
