On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best?

I'd give him a 2.

I think he is kind of funny in interviews but as far as his last stand up performance was terrible. It's like he has dumb downed his comedy. His stand up from a couple of years ago....I thought was hilarious. I think his tv show has gotten a little better. I think he needs better writers for his stand up shows. People forget.....all comedians have writers who contribute material for their stand up shows.

Not necessarily.

Chris Rock runs his set by some comic friends before locking in for his HBO specials, but they don't write for him. Eddie Murphy didn't have writers. Norm MacDonald doesn't have writers. Neither do Sarah Silverman, Joe Rogan, Kathy Griffin, John Mulaney, Dana Carvey, Seinfeld, Louis C.K., Artie Lange, etc., etc.

Haters.

Yeah, dude is no prime Eddie Murphy, but who is.

Comedy is a whole different ball game then it was 20 years ago.

He really doesn't have any competition to make him better.

20 years ago, you had Rock, Martin Lawrence, Damon Wayans, Bernie Mac, Eddie Griffin, Dave Chappelle, Bill Bellamt, ect all working at the same time. Doin shows with each other, tryin to out do one another. That made them better. Before those, you had Murphy, Keenen Wayans, Arsenio, Robert Townsend, Sinbad, John Witherspoon, ect.

Who are Kevin Hart's peers? Lil Duval, DeRay Davis, seriously. And even then, with the comedy game how it is now, they aren't even working with each other like the previous list I just mentioned.

I'm not sure if Kevin Hart is better than Joe Torry.

That's no knock on Hart. Torry came up in a tough era with competition. Prime Joe Torry now, would be killin Kevin Hart.

Hart on top is more about the competition now than him being just gut-bucket funny (he is at times.)

Yes, that's a good point. When you don't have competition and you are mediocre, it's hard to really point out that you suck because you're the only one on the stage so to speak.

Why am I labeled a "Hater", because I don't find his brand of humor funny? I am paying him to make me laugh, he is paying me to laugh. If he was paying me to laugh, then that means, he is REALLY not funny. Yes, the comedy scene is different. Those who you mentioned, are at the point in their careers where they can pick and choose, when they do stand up. Although, he does not do it often, Chris still does stand-up, to keep his chops wet. One of the reasons why most of those people were successful, is not because they talked about everyday things, (family, politics, even pussy) and the irony of it all, but also the way they delievered it. Eddie, Chris, even Damon had a way of delivering a story, which made you laugh. Kevin lacks the ability to do this for me, on a consistant basis. This makes some of his jokes, sound forced. Not funny.

I still believe for my generation that Chappelle reigns as the best comedian. Even though he isn't in the spotlight anymore, I'd pay to see Dave Chappelle live in stand up in a milli second. Kevin Hart is just okay, but not really all that funny, however, his show on BET, Real Husbands of Hollywood, is quite funny, but the cast is what helps make it funny, if it was just Kevin by himself, the show would be stale as week old bread.

I agree

Dave did some things in the 90s but he really broke out with the Chapelle Show which is classic even till this day. I wish he did a season 3. I think he is a king at doing skits but I dont like his stand up but I would take him over Kevin Hart ANY day.

Kevin Hart DESTROYS Mike Epps During TWITTER BATTLE

Kevin Hart and Mike Epps go at each other's throats on Twitter.

,

And in other Twitter wars...

photo KevinHartKimBasingerKevinHartFilmGrudgecYaNXVWlKjbx.jpg

Yesterday, Mike Epps fired a few shots at Hollywood's hottest comedian, Kevin Hart, and ignited a Twitter shoot out that left one of them bloody.

photo 031313-celebs-mike-epps-hangover-3.jpg

It all started when Mike (during a moment of reflection and homage to Katt Williams) tweeted,

photo ScreenShot2013-03-25at22848PM.png

And then Mike's Twitter followers started co-signing which got him pumped up a little more.

And for anyone who called him a hater....he had this...

photo ScreenShot2013-03-25at22824PM.png

Mind you....Kevinwas pretty silent during most of this exchange (because he was probably working on "RHOH"). But later, he got wind of the shots fired and said....

One he got started.....it was like he emptied an assault rifle.

Kevin eventually ended his assault with....

And after all of that, Mike Epps came back with this...

I just watched the 3 videos posted.

The ostrich one made me chuckle.

The other two... not so much. Although I did smile for a split second at the phone one.

I have to admit though, he tore Mike Epps up... Wow.
