Kenwood dv605

I just bought a Kenwood Dv605 dvd player that is region free. How the hell did this happen? I was just buying a 5 disc changer that matched my stereo system. I put in a region 2(pal) dvd and it played. The only problem is my T.V can't convert the picture so it flickers like it needs verticle adjusting. I looked in the book and it says it plays ALL REGIONS. I may hook it up to my other T.V and play it for now. SWEET!

Got it at best buy. I think they are trying to quietly close it out for the reason i mentioned. I think pioneer models do the same thing, but you may need a code(like video games) to make it region free.

They may not know. I think it's a underground fluke. I saw no mention of all regions online or anywhere else for the kenwood. Here's a link for dvd player hacks. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks
