In all fairness, that's true.

But really, most guys don't really give a fuck about what happened in the past or have any desire to take the time to try and explain anything to anyone.
They just want to move on.

Oh, that stuff just gets saved to your guy friends when you've been drinking all night with them and somebody puts on the Pink Floyd or Genesis records.

In general guys think they did well and she fucked op.
And in general everybody agrees with him.
A self critical reflection on ones own behaviour doesn't come naturally to men.
There is a gender difference in attribution style.
Men tend to attribute
mistakes externally (it's not their fault, failure was caused by something out of their control) and attribute succes internally (I did a great job and therefore it was succesfull).
Whereas
women tend to attribute mistakes externally (It was succesfull because I got lucky and all circumstances worked out) and attribute failure internally (I'm not competent and therefore it failed).
And people in general attribute
mistakes
externally when it's a male (he had the odds against him) and
internally when it concerns a female (she just hasn't got the capability).
And people in general attrtibute
succes internally when it's a male (he's capable so it succeeded) and externally when it involves a female (She succeeded because all circumstances were good and she got lucky).
Given these tendencies, irregard of what actually happened, majority of reflections leads to a conclusion:
He did a great job, she must be stupid.
So, dispite any effort to reflect objectively, men get evaluated positive, irregard of the actual capacity.

isn't she getting sued for something like this too? "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I don't know.
What about him?
Can he steal all the money from their joint business account without getting sued?

Sure, she said her husband left her for another woman, she talked about going through a break up...I totally believe her.
Lying, cheating husband...that's probably true too...but maybe not and it would be nice to hear what he has to say...especially the claims of him taking her jewelry and clearing out the bank account, etc.
Just reading her posts here...to me, she doesn't come off that stable and if this really is the woman in the story, her posts definitely back up a state of mind that would do such a stupid act.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I wouldn't think so....that is if it truly is a joint business and not just something she thinks she's just automatically entitled to because of marriage.
He could be doing shady things to protect his assets because they are splitting up, but who knows...since we have heard nothing about him except her accusations.

if it was joint? i am not sure. But I think it was texas so community property may make it legal. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I belief her. And I doubt that she is stupid.
Infuriated yes, but crazy no.
By protecting his photos, momentos and things that are irreplaceable, she shows it's not just a simple vindictive crazy act.
On what ground do you doubt that he took all of her jewelry, our cash from our bank account, and all of the assets of our business? Why not belief he changed the locks on their joing business without telling her? What makes you belief that he did not steal from her in the first place?
Her last two posts indicate that she made deliberate choices, which contradicts that she was simply enraged because he left her for another woman.
BTW, I don't feel the need to convince you that he's a fraudulous thief. And next to that a cheater. I just think the varying interpretations and attributes are interesting.

Interesting.
So, he can't get sued for taking her jewelry, money and business assets, whereas, she can get sued for selling the house and his stuf?
You think that's just?

Wait a sec...I never said that I didn't believe her. I said I don't know.
Yes, she did make deliberate choices, I never claimed she acted out of some out of control rage.
She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, and this is what makes her crazy and stupid to me.

I'm sort of confused by the banality of your joke. Are you really one of those people that are not aware of how much the band changed after Peter Gabriel left and Phil Collins took over?

Actually it would still make just as much sense. Listen to how women talk to each other, and about each other. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
