thanks I dont get it, I just ordered Devendra Banharts LP/CD which came with digital music files and I cannot open the zip file, it says its an EMD.

it is also an audio file. i think it is used by one of the audio editing programs,

The EMD file extension is also used to store audio files. Audio files with the file extension .emd contain advanced 16-bit tracker files. Trackers are programs, which use samples to create music. Samples are made up of voice, instrument or digitally produced sounds. These samples are then uploaded into tracker programs, looped, given effects, and linked together. Files with the .emd file extension were introduced in 1994.

I didn't know they also used it as an audio file. Apparently it's vintage but why do they still use it???
