How many of U have never been OUTSIDE Ur own COUNTRY? ?
I guess this is posed mainly at Americans since those in smaller countries tend to have more opportunities to travel outside, but I guess if you're European, then I can rephrase the question for you guys as not having been more than a 2 or 3 hour plane ride from your home.
Please tell me your story.
One of the things that fascinates me is my own 'Thai' family in Isaarn. Some have never been more than a 4 or 5 hour car ride from their homes....like EVER. This amazes me. | |

I have never been further west than Chicago (except being born in San Antonio TX, but I don't remember that because we moved when I was very young). I'm from the midwest.
I have been to Canada and Mexico however. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

I haven't been abroad in over 9 years, I think. That's pretty long considering I spent a lot of time elsewhere when I was younger. Well, I was studying in the university for 7 years and didn't really think spending money on traveling was so wise, so that's partly the reason. | |

From England but ICE Lied in Germany for about 22 years now. I also Lied in Chile for several years. I Consumer Myself English until I go back to the Island on a Visit. Generally feel quite homeless and very much my own man. Ive often wondered how many non hispanic North Americans speak Spanish. It's a fine language. small circles, big wheels!

I'm in my "own" country now but I'd love to grab my whole family and just go nomad around the planet for the rest of my days...

i live in california now, but the only other country i've ever been to besides the USA is Brazil, i lived there off and on for years. i think everyone needs to travel to see how others live. and i really think american's need to travel outside of the united states to see that we don't always do everything better here. we tend to be a bit arrogrant about ourselves here. be kind, be a friend, not a bully. | |

The first time I travelled abroad was when I was 18 which is pretty late for somebody who lives in Europe. Since then I travelled quite a bit and also "lived" in Trinidad/Tobago for a short while. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! I haven't been outside my own country as an adult. My father was stationed in Germany when I was a teenager. We traveled to Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Italy. A couple of years out of high school I met and married my husband. He has never wanted to leave the U.S. so we never have. We have been all over the U.S. Coast to coast. Now, it's been 30 years and I wish I hadn't waited so long. We're going to Canada in a few days. We had to get passports and everything. In the next 5 years I hope to go back to Germany and see the UK I'm firmly planted in denial | |

I'm American, and though I have been many places in this country, the only times I have been out have been to go to the Bahamas and Canada.
The main thing holding me back from travelling more is money and not necessarily wanting to travel abroad alone (since most of the people I'd travel with want to visit different places from me, or they just aren't able to at this time) If you will, so will I | |

i should have travelled more... my wife went to europe a few years ago but i was tied down with business stuff... she's since been to switzerland and to china/hong kong a few times with work
now we have 2 small children ... (nearly 3, and 6 months old) we'll leave it for a bit... we plan on going to europe when our oldest turns 8... and then again when his brother turns 8
we might go to new zealand some time before then | |

1. I've have yet to travel outside of the USA because I do NOT have a passport and I do NOT make enough money to travel outside the country.
2. I'm from Louisiana, but currently lived in Arkansas (for now). I have NOT travel further than.....
a. Houston, Texas b. Springfield, Missouri c. Panama City, Florida
In other words, I have never travel outside of the south. But I'm working on it. | |

I'm from Holland and wherever you go, you'll always find some Dutch I love to travel, but unfortunately I'm a little short on cash these days. But I'm very happy to have been to Central America (Guatemala, Mexico) and East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia.) Not sure about the US. I'm a wildlife lover, so Yellowstone might be good. So here's my question to the Americans: who's been to Yellowstone? What's it like? Great wide open or tourist trap? | |

South west is stunning, I am from UK but lived in the US for a few years. New Mexcio has tonnes of stuff hiding away.
