I personally have only watched maybe a portion of this show. I have never watched an entire episode, nor do I care to. I realize that they are actors re-enacting situations that have occurred in the emergency room. The thing that turns me off is that the acting is so phony, over-the-top exaggerated, that it just makes me shake my damn head. Even just seeing a commercial for it makes me shake my damn head, honestly.

Nope, can't you read?? I said in my post that I only watched A PORTION of the show.

My wife and daughter watch it. And it is as bad as you say.

when I was 14 I was a volunteer in an ER and it was kind of like that show.

sure the acting is poor and but it is on par with most other reenactment shows... was Americas Most Wanted any better?

on of my best stories was I was told to take a bundle of blankets up to one of the ORs... i noticed it was cold... but I though nothing of it... when i HANDED it off to one of the nurses, i watched through a window! It was some guy's arm! They tried to reattach it but it was too late! (it took them a while to find it after it was severed).

the other was a jar with a fetus in it... i still remember what woman's screams!

I don't watch this show, but I'm pretty sure it's a steaming pile of crap. Having said that, I'm sure this show is like Downton Abbey or Mad Men compared to the televised sludge like Honey Boo Boo, Swamp People, My Big Fat Redneck Vacation, Duck Dynasty, Buckwild, and all of those other redneck shows that are inewplicably huge with middle America.

they are no more garbage as any other reality show. Just because you may not enjoy the stick doesn't mean they are all that bad. I hate all those faked ghost shows and the bigfoot show and the other stuff that flat out make up stuff--because i feel they lack honesty...but I can see why some may enjoy watching them. The thing to keep in mind is they all make stuff up. (ALL the shows about buying storage lockers and going to junk yards are faked.... just like that Repo show.)

I don't watch "America's Most Wanted", but it can't be much worse than "Untold Stories of the ER". It would be a challenging job to work in an ER, and a person would need a strong stomach in order to be able to handle some of the things that you mentioned in your post.

I agree, knowledge is definitely power. I enjoy watching medical shows too. I like the ones that are geniune, and not so obviously fake like "Untold Stories" is.

I mean Mystery Diagnosis is has better acting than that show
