Video Music Box was the first television program in New York to broadcast rap videos. The host, Ralph McDaniels. I grew up watching the show. I would watch it every day after school. I still watch the show on saturday's 12am on WNYE-TV, CH 25.[Edited 4/24/13 6:57am] | |

In addition to playing rap videos, R&B videos were also shown. I remember watching the "Kiss" video, by Prince alot on Video Music Box. "Kiss" is a great video. One of my favorite Prince videos/songs.

I watched this when i was growing up in the pj's in East New York.. Havent seen it in years though.
