Best way to sell old iPhones?

I've got a few 3s, 4s and 4Ss that we've upgraded out of. There are services that promise to buy them for what seems like pretty good prices.

Anyone ever used them? If so, how did it work out? And if you sell an old phone, what do you need to do to it to erase all the stuff you don't want people to see?

Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

LOL, no. I'm going to buy my daughter an iPhone 5 today and I want to recoup some dough.

There are companies like Gazelle that buy them. I'm just wondering if that's a good way to go.

I would keep at least one just in case. you should be able to get at least $200 for a 4S (depending on how much memory it has)

I've sold old iPhones. Craigslist isn't so bad... unless there are a thousand other people in your area using Craigslist for the same thing. Just make sure you've removed your SIM card and follow: Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

Also make sure to mention whether your iPhone is locked to a particular carrier (in which case only a customer of that carrier can use it) or unlocked.

Thanks, that is exactly what I needed to know!
