He appears on episode 15 of NEW GIRL ( The Cooler episode ) in season 2 as CeCe's overly emotional 'Indian' date.

A couple of things. He is half-Indian, and he does speak with a British accent.

He's also obviously....did I already say it?....attractive.

Yet, even in a show like New Girl which promotes diversity (they have a lesbian couple expecting a child) who makes regular appearances, and the cast is multi-cultural and diverse, it seems apparant that the producers and powers that be have no interest in writing in a Asian male into the show as a viable sex partner. What idiot writes a hot piece of ass like Satya into the show as a throway 'dufus' character?

I'm sorry, but hollywood has a long ass damned way to go with it comes to Asian men.

And I agree that the lame Indian stereotype in Hollywood is so tired. Even in cartoons, it seems the trend now is not for the main character (who is always white) to have a black friend, it's to have a friend who recently immigrated from India.

That dude is way cute. But obviously he's just a fly in the romantic ointment for Schmidt and CJ, so I think that supercedes any perceived racial commentary (which I would argue isn't there anyway).
