Generally there is one person who is bossier, more aggressive, more outgoing, takes charge, etc and the other is more passive, quiet and laid back in a relationship.
I'm sure there might be relationships where it's equal but I've actually never, ever seen that.

we both do. we let each other lead in the areas we are strong in, it's a great balance. if my husband is better at certain things, then he leads with those, for the things i'm better with, i lead with them. we haven't had any problems doing this over the last 11 years.
