That's cool! I'm hoping to sit my theory test soon, I'm studying for it at the moment. I know how to control a vehicle, but I haven't yet learned how to drive in traffic etc... driving lessons are bloody expensive! Anyway once I get my theory test I'll get more lessons and get the practical done too.

I was sitting watching "Celebrity Driving Test" on BBC the other day and I said to myself "If that twat Gareth Gates can learn to drive, so can I dammit!". Driving is easy, it's just a matter of getting around to learning (and in Ireland, where it would cost me thousands of pounds each year in motor insurance, I never bothered learning).

I was checking out some car auctions recently too... amazing how cheaply you can pick up a nice car. It really is a buyer's market.

when i lived in the city, i could parallel park like a mutha...

then i moved out here to the middle of nowhere and parallel parking wasn't an issue anymore...

went back to my hometown a few months ago & tried to parallel park... ... i looked like a freakin idiot...

A pet peeve of mine... people who ask for my "driver's license" when what they really want is photo identification. Whether or not I can drive a car is irrelevant to, say, whether I can purchase an alcoholic beverage. Maybe I should start carrying around my passport for ID and just tell people I never learned how to drive.

A few weeks ago I was asked for my "license" when I ordered a glass of wine... I was tempted to whip out my law license, since the waiter didn't specify which license he wanted.
