I'm pretty sure Lakewood knows already (and doesn't care), it is All-Star Weekend. Those superstars players always host events throughout the weekend. His name will attract youth that doesn't regularly attend church outings so it's a win for them and mo' money in their pocket.

Lol, did you think Wade was a holly roller? He was cheating on his wife with Gabriel Union while they were still married?

For the record, The Compound at Hess (where Wade will be), isn't a strip club - it's across the street from one (the Oynx).

But still, LOL.

Certainly the strippers are, as well as the sellers of $1,000 bottles of champagne!

Like someone else going said Houston is going to clean up. I remember when I went to NBA All-Star slam dunk in Vegas a few years ago. They we're partying up. Even though Vegas didn't need the cash flow. They said they would never have it there again. Some peeps acted a complete fool...I partied myself. Since Prince was still in residency there at The Rio 4 3121 series of shows also...

Prince 3121 Las Vegas

Time to do away with the dunk contest. Shit is played out. Now you have bench guys involved. Besides, what more can you do? We've already seen the best - Dr. J, 'Nique, Webb, Jordan, Vince.

The NBA really needs to re-work their All-Star Weekend. That slam dunk mess was a joke. I don't remember Spud Webb needing a do-over.

And Ne-Yo? Alicia Off-Keys? Are you fucking kidding me?

The bar has been set so high with the NBA All Star weekend that it's gonna be hard for this new breed to live up to it, especially the Slam Dunk contest and the actual All Star game.

AllStar games are cool. Dunk contest needs superstars.

All LeBron has to do in join and it will be back. LeBron can get so many people to do it, but his ego wont allow it.

I commend a player like Dwight Howard doin it in recent years and even Blake Griffin.

Back then, the top dunkers wanted to be in the contest. Dr. J did it 3 times, Nique Wilkins 4, Jordan 3 times, Drexler 5 times, Shawn Kemp 3 times. Hell, even Scottie Pippen did it.

And the past decade or so, Kobe, Vince Carter, McGrady, Francis 3 times, Baron Davis twice, Amare Stoudemire. Even Ray Allen was in it once.

Even the game in this era is so-so, they play NO D until the 4th, 20 years ago and beyond they actually played a little D from the 1st quarter on.

LeBron said something on NBA TV during the All-Star team practice that I've thought about him, he said that he was more of a "Game Dunker" then a "Contest Dunker" He doesn't feel that he can come up with something new to wow people.

Congratulations to my Toronto Raptor Terrence Ross on winning the slam dunk contest!!

We had so much fun watching T. Ross win this. He may not be known by anyone on this board, but it was special for us Toronto fans who watch him play every game.

I'm sick of all the stars with their huge paycheques and even bigger egos getting all the attention.

"Let Ross Dunk"!!! razz Way to go!!
