Oh yeah, when I was taking French classes in the university I sat right behind the person that has been voted the sexiest woman in Finland. I was "seperated" from her by just a few inches!

You guys know the feeling when you've made out with someone in a club and then when you've checked out her Facebook profile later you realize she's been in some fucking reality show?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
So you got fucked over, just to spice up a reality show.
That must be hard.

I don't think the producers would give me any screen time. Put a long-haired man on prime time TV these days and the ratings go instantly down.
(No, seriously. The season had already ended.) [Edited 2/16/13 3:10am]

I know someone who sat in mick Jagger's seat on the concorde!
I can only assume that being on Jagger's seat on the concorde meant that you were providing a lap dance? 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Seriously though, I've "met" maybe even hundreds of celebrities in work, but I haven't really given a rat's ass about them. I've done music and entertainment business stuff quite a lot and many of those people these days have become famous because they've just appeared in some reality show or "Idol" type singing contest. I usually respect people that are good at what they do (like playing an instrument or writing songs). I am not starstruck by someone just because he / she has appeared on TV.
As far as the music end of it goes, I think the guys that work as sound engineers, assistants and roadies for these "stars" are often better musicians than them.

I think Dweezil Zappa has an all-roadie band, judging from the way they dress I'm the mistake you wanna make

Yes, I met them, worked with them, or were friends. So they (should have) knew my name. They may have forgotten me though. I am in L.A. so I wouldn't list a bunch of famous people that I just saw, that's a longer list. I mentioned Stevie, whom i did not meet but just saw, b/c I met and talked with a member of his entourage, so that's 1 degree. I don't think I misunderstood thread, b/c OP said she's one degree from the Prince, whom her childhood friend met. She's 0 degrees from the childhood friend. I wrote about my experience with Billy Zane and Tommy Lee here before. Hey, I guess that makes me 1 degree from Mayte, and 2 from Prince. The others you can figure out if you care to follow my posts in various fora, but I don't post that often so they're probably not memorable for anyone. Anyway, this is just an online fan site, so I suppose we cannot know the truth about anyone here that we haven't met. I just had a minute and thought it'd be fun to share on this thread. I like reading about people's personal meetings with Prince, for example, that's why I come to the org. My post is true, though. Oops, typos. Whatever.
