I watched, too...

I'm watching "Talking Dead" now... (I usually watch it in the morning).

I am not going to lie and say I'm sorry to see Andrea go...

She had to. Neither side would ever trust her.

Carl... eek

I wanted to smack the big silent Brotha... SHOOT THE DAMN GOVERNOR!

And um...

There's no food in the prison.

Did they bring supplies from Woodbury? confused

nod

That was my first thought seeing those people getting off the bus. Food? Water? Hello? I see no boxes of supplies getting off that bus.

And I agree with you all, that boy was taking too long laying down that gun like he was doing a whole lotta thinking. Carl's a thinker and a quick decision maker. That boy dun redeemed himself tenfold.

And could somebody explain to me why Andrea was sitting there dreamily talking so much so that dying Milton had to reminder her to hurry up. Honey, you couldn't save anybody expect in your daydreams. And I died about the pedicure.

And Governor Jim Jones...I mean really dudes? He's got that much control over you.

spit

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Carl is an idiot, just like his mama was, just like his daddy is. Wish they would just blow him away...but I know they won't.

i know what you mean falloff

i think part of my hate for him comes from laurie. are they actually related in real life?

he looks so much like her.

as far as food for the prison and it's new inmates is concerned. i think we're to assume

that they took all the provisions with them that they took away from jonestown.

remember how tyrell was guarding the women and children in that stock room over at

thet town? shelves and shelves of supplies. i guess they took them with.

although, the number of people getting of that buss is not the same amount of people

who lived in the town minus the ones that got shot by the guv.

so presumably a group of folks stuck it out in the town, waiting for the governor to

return, not believing the story the others told them about him gunning down his own

people in a psychotic episode?

anyway. i'm sure season 4 will start up with them carrying provisions from the bus into

the prison.

i guess things are going to get pretty cramped in the prison now. perhaps this will be

enough incentive for carol and daryl to start sharing a bunk lol

and one more thing: with shows like this and lost and other post apocalypse shows,

it bugs most viewers that they trudge around in durt and mud for months on end and

still somehow manage to look all neat and tidy with their hair and beards cropped

and their nails done. nice white teeth and all.

and that's ok, but it would be nice if they actually spent 3 minutes on a scene where

people are just sitting around, waiting for their hair to be cut or their beard to be

trimmed by someone who's taken that particular task upon themselves.

i have to admit, all i keep thinking about is usually: 'jeez, rick looks hot and all, but

he's probably stinking something fearce from his mouth by this time what with no

toothpaste". at least, you never see them brushing, lol.

all these people in this new messed up world, trying to hold onto some bits of their

former selves and the way they were. you'd think that they'd at least try to keep up

with their grooming and personal hygeine since that is one of the easiest ways to

hang on to a semblance of who you used to be before the world went to shit.

we're probably led to assume they do this, but it would be nice if they actually did

show us some of that stuff. because simple things like that make connections for

people, in their day to day lives.

they only show lots of fighting, dramatic stand offs and confrontations or some real

steamy pants flyin' across the yard sex.

I've been reading comments about the finale and so many people really hated it.

The number 1 complaint was how many commercials there were. That didn't really affect me per se because I watched GoThrones first and the TWD recorded, then watched it and fast forwarded through the commercials. I will say though, the complaint was that it cut down on actual episode time and I do agree with that. AMC could have had a deal where the hour was commercial free sponsored by whomever and still could have made a ton of money.

Second complaint, Andrea died but the Gov. didn't. I'm actually okay with that. When Andrea pulled back her vest and her wound became visible I was very woot! I've not hidden the fact that her character annoyed the hell out of me and I wasn't sad to see her go.

I'm also glad that the Gov is still left to be reckoned with. I know that his two henchmen that stayed with him was stupid, but I see the Gov using them as weapons later. He was very much impressed by Michonne's use of her two walkers on chains. I don't see things ending well for the two guys.

Andrea annoyed the hell out of me, even as she was dying, but the rest of them, their reactions to her death just about had me. Daryl saying no one ever could make it alone. bawl

Some things were closed. Andrea and Milton's fates were finalized. Woodbury is gone. Why didn't they go back there? The Gov built it. He knows it too well making it too hard to defend.

Rick is back. This time I think for good. He went from seeing Lori in the white dress and thinking she was real, to realizing she wasn't real eventhough he was seeing her. Then he saw pregnant and in her regular clothes. Then he looked expecting to see her and didn't. He saw the changes in Carl and I think that he knows he's got to get a handle on his boy.

What was left unresolved- Govner's alive...Carl is turning into Shane...New people in the prison.

As for the people of Woodbury coming to the prison. It had to happen. They couldn't leave the elderly to die. It really opens up an entirely new chapter. I was cracking up about the questions "What if one of the older people die in their sleep and turn?" LOL Well, they're in the perfect place for that. Each person gets their own cell, bungee the door closed each night. Alive, they can let themself out. Dead, zombies can't figure out bungees.

The Woodbury people know how to garden. The group can eventually go back and get generators from the town if they haven't already. The rest is as before, with the added stress of more mouths to feed and more personalities to deal with. These people were already in a group. They were living peacefully and not cutting each others' throats. Pre-screened.

I like how it ended hopefully. One comment was, "You know what happens anytime they have any hope. Something horrible happens." So true!

Sorry....that's a lot to read and I don't expect anyone to read it. lol

No, Carl is not like Shane. Shane was a self-serving prick. Willing to kill to get his best friends wife, sacrificing folks (the fat guy) for himself. Carl's just a kid getting conflicting messages from his idol, his dad, kids don't process thing like that well, it's either black or white, yes or no, not well, it's yes except for when it's an inconvenience, then it's no or it could be maybe unless I change my mind.

Totally hadn't thought of that! lol

I have to say, they would kind of deserve that after being stupid enough to climb into a truck with a guy that just massacred their friends and comrades who were willing to go to war for him!

I was sitting there at the end of the episode when they showed the cross in the field, and I was thinking "ok - now something really bad is going to happen in the last few minutes". Then - credits. WTF? That was it? It was supposed to be a big war...granted the majority of Woodbury are now dead, but no one from the Grimes gang (except Andrea if you consider her part of the gang) checked out. I was all geared up to shed some tears... bawl

I really really tried to feel sorry for Andrea, but after she fumbled around with those pliers (c'mon, you can't tell me she's not 'flexible' enough to bring her foot up to her hand after all those 'sessions' with the Gov!) and sat there chit-chatting with Milton when she should have been freeing herself, she totally deserved that fate.

I dunno how I feel about Carl...but I'm really interested to see how his character develops next season.

Don't they usually make like a few months or so pass during the hiatus? I think this season started after they had spent the entire winter out and about. Funny how they didn't lose anyone in all those months they were off the air! lol

At least by doing that, it will explain Carl's aging. Lost should have done that too so they could have kept Walt on the show. And Judith could be running around the prison when the next season starts.

Yeah, but he is like Shane in that he doesn't take anyone else's council. He's starting not to listen to anyone and think that his way is the only right way.

He's not wrong in his thought process and he is getting conflicting messages to be sure, but like Shane, he's getting very tunnel focused.

I did the same thing! lol

After watching it again though, I couldn't help but wonder 1. Were they making this their "Easter Show" as it was aired on Easter Sunday? falloff 2. Was it to symbolize the hopeful ending?

I'm reading so much how people were so disappointed with the Grimes Gang/Woodbury prison battle and I have to agree that it was rather anti-climatic. I will say though that it was a really good plan. Rick didn't want a war with Woodbury. Part of his mixed messaging has alway been regarding his desire to not kill the living. So the pretend they're gone. Get the Woodbury crew to venture into the unfamiliar prison, sic the undead on them, take out some and scare the shit out of the untested troops and got them to retreat alive. It was the Govner that did them in.

I just think it should have lasted more than 5 seconds.

Outside of this I don't recall him doing that. Okay when Rick told him to stay put and Carl shot Morgan, and getting the picture, that's about all I recall him just doing his own thing. Heck even Glenn went off half-cocked to kill the Governor. Nah, I don't see Shane in his behavior, I see hormonally charged teenager, these are the wonder years in the middle of this mess.

I've been avoiding them.
I've read all of the "Sookie Stackhouse" books, and it changed how I feel about "True Blood".

I love "Walking Dead" so much... I don't want that to happen.

I have a coworker who comes by my classroom every Monday morning to discuss the previous night's show, and within 5 minutes he says, "But in the comic books..."

I keep asking him not to tell me about them, but he's become "That Guy". confused

I feel the exact same way. I really want to read them, but I don't think I will right away.

That's why I stopped after the first one. It ends with a picture of the prison, so nothing has really been spoiled - yet! I'm really surprised by some of the big differences so far, and it makes me want to keep reading, but I really like the show and don't want to ruin it.

Ugh, decisions, decisions...
