I like plain utilitarian bags in leather, large enough for me to fit my life inside. I stick with black, camel, and metallic with ocacasional pops of color. Most come from Zara, but I'm completely open to going for the discounts, as long as it's a solid leather. Here are examples of what I carry on the regular:
