New Year week 5 - how' you doing?

So we're ending the first month of 2013. The new-ness of the year has faded.

How are you doing?

Are you stressed?

Are you happy?

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

How are YOU doing, my fellow orgers?

How are you doing?

I am doing really well. Pretty happy with my work and home life.

Are you stressed?

Not at all, but we will see how things are going in May.

Are you happy?

Very much so!

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

I don't really have a "resolution," but I do have a goal. I have not began yet, but I am

beginning to purchase the supplies that I need to make it happen.

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

Honestly? Not really. My partner and I have decided to move into a new place in July. That is

going to be crazy and fucking stressful. Not to mention that we are going to have a hard

time figuring out where we want to move, since we are both so picky. There will never be

enough closet space disbelief

The sex life has also shifted in an interesting way, we will see where this leads us.

How are YOU doing, my fellow orgers?

In total, I am doing well for now and trying to plan ahead so I will be doing well in the

future. Thank you for asking PJ. How are you holding up?

How are you doing?

I'm doing pretty ok.

Are you stressed?

Yes, both with my work life and personal life

Are you happy?

I'm better than this time last year, but I most certainly could be happier

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

Didn't make any

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

Things are definitely not moving as fast as I would like it to move but that's understandable. This year will be a huge transition year and I'm looking forward to it, but it takes time.

4 threesomes, 2 foursomes, and one very confusing drunken evening with my wingman Admiral that we have both decided not to talk about. So overall, pretty good.

How are you doing?

Wonderful! cool

Are you stressed?

Kind of yes, but it's because I started a new job 3 weeks ago. It's normal to be stressed when you first start a job so it's not like this is "bad" stress. It's more money and a step up from my last position, so I can deal with this kind of stress.

Are you happy?

Yes, very much so! biggrin

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

I didn't really make any.

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

No chaos and glad about it. Actually the year is starting off better than I had envisioned. And the things that haven't happened for me yet that I want to happen, I have a lot faith that it will happen for me this year. thumbs up!

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

How are you doing?

Pretty damn good. Work is going well, the bf and I have been living together for 3 months now and that's going great. My mom had surgery recently and she's on the mend. Life is pretty damn good for me overall.

Are you stressed?

Not at all

Are you happy?

yes

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

I have not yet started learning Spanish, but I plan to start my Rosetta Stone thing tomorrow night. And I'm looking forward to it!

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

No chaos. The few plans I had for January are working out just fine.

No chaos here. The only plan I had was to do some writing and I've been doing it. typing Otherwise (besides saving for my retirement), I try to take it one day at a time and "be here now". cloud9

Ace - thumbs up! Thanks...I guess I should answer my own damn thread, huh?

I'm doing good. Not great. Certainly not fantastic. Just good.

I am also stressed as all holy hell. Gotta do something that I really don't want to do...but it's gotta be done. Needs to be done. It's time. Called the lawyer today.

Overall I am happy. Not all of the time, but MOST of it.

My resolutions are not doing all that well. Haven't set foot in a bookstore yet. Haven't been going to the gym as consistently as I promised (right now my gym clothes are in the car...so unless the ex reneges on her plans to pick the kids up for dinner, I'll be working on my benchpress after work). And I think I'm too far-gone into the "friend" zone for anything else with a certain someone I've been crushing on.

Overall, things are not going as planned, but the ship is not too far off course. No chaos yet (haven't hit the iceberg).

wink

Swell for the most part. Suffering from a bought of winter-depression, but exercising and keeping busy to shake it off. (at least I think it's winter depression--my sleep pattern is wonky and I've been coming up with excuses not to do things. So, forced myself to go swimming today woot! ).

Are you stressed?

Yes, but it's positive stress. I'm the type who needs a bit more than normal.

Are you happy?

Yeah.

Are you keeping up your resolutions?

I wouldn't call them resolutions persay, but I'm on track and quite ok with it.

Are things going the way you planned so far? Or are you careeening into chaos so early in the year?

NOTHING goes as I plan, but I tend to achieve what I want one way or another, so I'm not stressed about it.

Being serious here; how can you get "winter depression" in Thailand????

Well, I got it in Tampa too.

Essentially, it's a combination of things. First, work is always busiest before and after the holiday shopping season. Second, the holiday season means more family exposure and my family stresses me out.

And I'm sensative to changes in daylight even though they are very slight here in Thailand--they do exist. I thrive on sun.

It *does* help a BIG DEAL here in Thailand because the temperature is always warm enough to wear shorts or go swimming. I mean, ALWAYS... at least here in Bangkok.

Don't you feel sorry for me, PJ batting eyes

OK...I never thought of the changes in daylight being noticeable in tropical environments, but it makes sense with everything else added to the mix.

Sorry? No, I don't feel sorry for you.

I can sympathize with your depression.

And I certainly APPRECIATE your condition, which pretty much means you're never moving to New York.

Well, here's the deal. If I maintain an active nightlife, I don't notice winter.

Because I'm bumping in the club. But those days are long, long over and I have absolutely

no interest in being a scene queen.

The nightlife is a (temporary) emotional "high" to masks the underlying condition.

Like going to Happy Hour after work and getting buzzed.
