Can you believe they made Django dolls, featuring the main characters? Apparently due to an online petition, the dolls have been recalled. They tried to put them on ebay for $500 a pop but now even ebay won't carry them due to it's "potentially offensive nature". WTH? Who thought this might be a good idea?? Did they have Kunta Kinte dolls, with whip marks on his back, when Roots came out?

no they didn't but they did. Barbie is enough though and no i never heard of a kuta kinte doll.

I also really hated Samuel Jacksons character in that film. I wasn't that crazy about the movie in generalbut this is definitely too much.

i understand the film is a bit of a shocker, but these are just dolls. is the film that bad? does it offer any positive historical value?

A testament to his excellent acting skills and a well-written character.

I don't see nothing wrong with the dolls, but I've never liked dolls in general anyway because they are creepy as hell. When "Chucky" came out when I was a kid, that was enough for me.

i have seen the movie twice and i still have no idea who the guy in the bowler hat is supposed to be.

I ordered them and have three out of five with Broomhilda being unavailable. The two that are on backorder are the main guys, D' Jango and Schultz. They are about seven inches tall and don't have any accessories. I'm not going to open them or sell them right away, if a bunch show up on eBay in the coming months, their value may end up dropping. No doll is ever going to look exactly like the real person they're based upon so I don't worry about that detail.

OK, that's suppose to be Ms. Washington. I had assumed they didn't bother to make a doll of... thought they had a "Mammy" character in the movie Lawd. Washington should sue for an injunction on her doll, that ain't right. Seriously though, what's the big deal? Movies have merchandise for sale all the time, allow the market to dictate sales.

Stop trying to make sense! People MUST stand up and complain about these toys, because these toys are holding them down! Going out in the real world to speak your mind, to learn and educate, or even having intelligent conversations about racism past, present and future online will do no good! Saw Django today...and suprise suprise..our very own John Jarret had a bit part along side Quentin himself......G'Day mate........I love the movie and I would go see it again............

I was watching "Dish Nation" the other night and Ricky Smiley had a whole set of these dolls and Kidd Kraddick went apeshit and threw a wad of cash at Smiley commenting, "DUDE! These dolls are woth about $40.000!" Hell, if that's the case, I wish I had bought a set.

'bout to go watch the bootleg again and play with my own toys

so i saw the film & loved it.. best film i've seen in ages, it's something special imo. i didn't like all the blood but there were some very funny moments.

they are not my thing, but i can understand how some people might want to collect the dolls

broomhilda doll is too disturbing, not flattering at all.
