Sylvester Stallone blackmailed by his sister

Sylvester Stallone handed over millions of dollars to his sister at the height of his fame when she blackmailed him and threatened to wreck his career.

Stallone's half-sibling, Toni-Ann Filiti, died of lung cancer last year at the age of 48, and it has now emerged that her famous brother handed her a multimillion dollar sum in the 1980s, and agreed to pay her a monthly income and set up a trust to cover her medical expenses.

A representative for Stallone has confirmed the payout and revealed the money was handed over after Filiti blackmailed the star with a series of false allegations of physical abuse.

The spokesperson tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Unfortunately, celebrities, politicians and athletes frequently find themselves the targets of blackmail efforts by family members and associates who fabricate claims in order to extort payments from them."

The "Rocky" star's mother, Jackie, has also opened up about the alleged blackmail plot, claiming Filiti was addicted to prescription drugs and the actor was trying to help her.

Yes, sad all around. She was obviously a troubled person, and it shows that celebs have very real problems of their own

hmmm that doesn't make sense. Why would he pay millions of dollars if those were just fabricated stories? Maybe he did physically abused her. I've heard that he has a bad temper.

Hmmm, this story doesn't make sense. He paid her over a million dollars because she threatened to tell about physical abuse that was false?

Anyway, I have a soft spot for Stallone, I've always loved that man and been a fan, but this story

Not only did Stone lose his addict-Sis but he also lost the Love of his Life his FIRST born Son. I think the guy was around 33yrs old and was found dead at his Condo/Apt.....I think it was natural causes having to do with his heart.

This is the same kid that was in one of the Rocky movies and did other acting gigs. He worked with his Dad on projects and Sylvester had to be torn a part.

maybe he gave her money because he cared about her and felt sorry for her.

I doubt she did it out of hatred, but rather out of desperation

No what doesn't make sense is assuming someone is abusive just by the way he looks, c'mon now... anyways what a sad story. She seemed really deeply troubled.

I don't think people are assuming he is abusive just by the way he looks. What I stated earlier was that I had read some stories about him having a bad temper. At the end of the day only him and his sister knew the truth.
