I met a lady last night that works for the Chronicle but I forgot to ask her about this amazing get-well story.

She told me she was friends with Josh and Cora Dunham, and that in 2009 Prince tried to negotiate a hit-and-run performance in Houston at the Warehouse Live - the same small venue (1,500) where I sung with him!

I have absolutely no idea how that performance didn't come to pass. As the Brits say, I'm gutted knowing we/I was THISCLOSE to an intimate evening with Prince and the band!
