I guess the low sales is why this company brought 300 of them for this program as a catalyst to possible sell more. But I can see why people worry about the safety, riding in one next to an 18 wheeler would be nerve racking, heck even next to these SUVs it wouldn't stand a chance. But for short burst trips they've looked interesting.

nod

Cool city car...and the roll cage is supposed to be very good...but I wouldn't want to drive down I-95 in it (that's the main north-south interstate highway on the East coast here...I've been driving on it in the rain with 18-wheelers passing me as I'm doing almost 80mph omfg )

That's the thing if it has great accerlaration and good steering control/maneuverability, it might be worth a try. If not then you'd feel like a target, I live in Cali, folks out here will run you off the road for sport.

omg

Why do you say that? lol

These fools down here have accidents every 10 seconds. One of the worse commute cities in the U.S. That lil car would get CRUSHED like a bug.

lol.

Have you seen the "Smart" Car? Google it if not.

This "Smart" Car is so safe that it was said the Driver if involved in a head on collision, would be more likely to die from a heart attack than the actual crash..........Size isn't everything

Food for thought.

Just to Edit: Smart car has appeared in this Thread prior to my posting (I shoulda read teh whole thread) - With negative views, I hate the Smart car - to me its a Barbie doll Motor, but again, I reiterate, believe it or not, the above is accurate.

No. My next car is, as we all know, this one:

[img:$uid]http://cdn0.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/7291049/batmobile_large_verge_medium_landscape.jpg[/img:$uid]

Maybe should go half on this. We can rent it out when we aren't using it and make a profit.

Mmmm...my all-time favorite car. One - of just five made in the 60's - just sold last week for a whopping $4.2 million dollars.

I watched a youtube video about it: gets 4 miles to the gallon. Could you imagine Batman taking on Gotham's villains, one gas station at a time...?

Maybe, that sounds a pretty good deal.

My dad just decided to give me one of these (for NOTHING):

But I know my fuel costs will be more than $69 per month

BUT the main thing is my 3 growing (strapping young lads) will all fit in the back seat of this, AND all their crap.

I'm the mistake you wanna make

Because to me...it means something completely different from what you probably mean to say.

In Atlanta.....that car will get u killed with a quickness.

In Chicago, the potholes would kill u in that car.

I lived in Atlanta and it was crazy back in the 2000. I can only imagine what it is like now.

People were fond of making left hand turns from right hand lanes.

Just crazy stuff like that.

Driving as an extreme sport.

I still have one vivid memory of entering the parking lot at Phipps Plaza. Something told me to wait a second.

As I entered there were 2 lanes of traffic exiting. The man in the furthest lane from me, cut right infront of the guy in the lane next to him, who should have been going straight ahead and then proceeded to cut right in front of me. It amazes me to this day that he did not hit either of us. He was also driving a huge vehicle.

Back on topic....

While I don't have any objection to driving electric vehicles - in fact, I would like to get one someday excited - I don't think I'll get that car. Not because it would make me look like a sissy, but because it only get about 40 to 60 miles on a single charge. This would be just fine for most city driving on small or medium length trips, but it would be useless for any extended trips out of town or driving around all day across large metro areas like Chicago or Los Angeles.

However, I would love to get my hands on this car.

This is the Tesla Model S. It's an all electric vehicle that gets the equivalent of 95 MPG of gas and drives 200 miles on a single charge. This is much more realistic for most drivers and it's built to handle average driving conditions.

I would drive it only in the city. I'd be scared shitless to drive it on the Beltway here in metropolitan D.C. or any major highway. That thing looks like a Chuck Taylor.
