iTunes 11, Not A Step Forward ¿Qué pasa? :-?!
I'm not feeling iTunes 11, I want my iTunes Carousel back for starters. Without my permission Apple took my music from my cloud and just smacked it on my MacBook. Dammit I wanted my music divided on different notebooks for a reason. How do you ladies and guys feel about iTunes 11?

I hate it, wish I hadn't download it. I hate this popup thing when I search in my library (just show the music in the list, now I have to press "enter" to get my results), I can't see my playlists and library next to eachother any more (that's how I used to make my playlist), there are some other small things which don't work.
change is good, when it actually makes things better.

All I do with it now is sync my Ipod. As long as I can still do that, it makes me no difference.

I do enjoy the larger dedicated album cover screens. But, doggone it, I miss Cover Flow!! It totally brought back the experience of flipping through the crates! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It doesn't help my OCD that's for damn sure.
Especially since I keep all my music on an external hard drive, I hate seeing the music symbol icon on the album view when I DO have the proper covers for albums.
I just hate having to learn how to re-navigate through everything. It`s a pain.

The only thing I hate is that the cloud service adds an extra copy of some of the songs, sure it's free but why would I want two of the same song - which is actually redundant because I have multiple copies of many songs - I want to have the play count feature back. Jeux Sans Frontiers

its still there. You just can't have your top played listed in order. But you could just create a playlist for that, and put every song in it.

ugh... i hate it
i miss coverflow
i miss the album cover in the bottom left corner
i hate that i spent a LOT of OCD time changing the names of songs, artists, etc to find that itunes changed some of them back, and wont let me change them anymore.
i miss having the little album covers in the list

OK, I'm missing coverflow now. Originally I didn't notice it missing because the tile layout kind of does the same thing. But I do like coverflow. I wonder why they stopped. Coverflow wasn't perfect, but it could have been with a few tweaks.

I don't care about album covers, but this new iTunes has bothered me in a few ways.
I am figuring it out, and everything works, but it really kind of bugs me that every damn computer program forces us to completely re-learn it every couple years. I learn the new way, then go to someone else's computer and have to re-learn the old way again, too. My Legacy

Heck, I'm still on iTunes 8 or something like that.
My iTunes is so old that when I plugged my phone in it so I could transfer "Same Chapter, Different Book", my computer told me that my iPhone no longer recognized whatever version of iTunes my computer has.
True story. | |

I liked iTunes 11 until I actually had to use it. My external hard drive died a couple of weeks ago and I could fix it but had to format it, so I lost everything. Not a big deal since my iTunes and Amazon purchases can be simply re-downloaded, and most of my music actually comes from physical CDs. However, it was painful to rip everything, simply because the "prettier" interface makes everything rather uncomfortable and for whatever reason, iTunes would not retrieve track names. I used Max and XLD to rip, since they allow a more automated workflow but I didn't like the audio quality (it sounded different to me), so I decided to finish importing everything using iTunes. It took me about five days to finish and haven't launched iTunes since then. I never want to use it again. Sure, it's pretty and slightly more efficient but only if used as a player, but if that's the case, I'd much rather use Vox or Ecoute and never deal with iTunes' bitchassness ever again.

And this is more of an iTunes Store-related complaint, but I use a Mexican iTunes Store account and a US account I was happy to complete my iCloud downloads with one account but when I tried to download the stuff from the other account, it told me that I could not access it until 90 days later. I had to totally use another computer to download it. It was so sad.

Took me a while to get used to it. I like the feature that lets you drag-and-drop songs in the queue.

This is the #1 reason I tried to figure out how to install the prior version of iTunes. I don't make playlists on the fly, I painstakingly compile dream mixes. So the new search and "play next" feature does not appeal to me.
