I haven't seen that episode yet (DVR). That kid strikes me all kinds of wrong. He was supposed to be a socially ackward teen who sang to the birds, but all of a sudden he looks to be portrayed as a wild-man rocker kid... Nobodys falling for that nonsense. Plus, his rendition of Rocketman was HORRIBLE. It's a gift that he's gotten this far. They should have kept Johnny instead.

Now I have to watch until Candice Glover gets knocked off, if she gets knocked off. She should win.

I'm not sure about that SpongeBob reference, but Angie Miller may be the best singer overall this season and is already set to become a star, since she not only sings well but also writes her own songs.

As for that other kid you're talking about...

His name is Charlie Askew, and while I didn't mind the idea of him picking a darker-sounding album tune that most people hadn't heard before, he totally butchered it. I think that guy has self-esteem issues, and he even admitted to that during auditions. At any rate, he went home tonight.
