So apparently the big inaguration story is all about "da bangs"!

I've never really worn them myself but I do think they look kinda nice on Michelle....makes her look a bit younger IMO.

So orgers, since this question is crucial to the future of the republic, are we loving the bangs???

How do the bangs rank next to other styles?

In these pictures... I do NOT like the bangs, they swallow up her eyes too much and make her cheekbones look awfully huge.

IMHO A lighter bang would work better or side swept hair... she has a HARD smile and needs really "soft" hair with soft lines to make her face look its best.

I like them. I agree, they make her look younger. I anticipate seeing some side swept bangs from her in the future.

I was thinking that the softer, shorter bang is better on her. The first pics I saw had her hair really puffed up high with a longer bang, which didn't look as good but in subsequent photos it looks like they took the height down a bit and feathered the bangs a little better.

I guess we will see what they decide to do with them in a couple of hours. I hope she'll have an upswept do for the evening though.

I like bangs but I think she looks better showing her forehead, or at least side swept bangs.

I think she just likes to change up her look. I'm gonna check more closely now...didn't notice the lashes.

I'm loving the coat ensemble better than the one she wore last time, and those lashes are a nice touch. Not everyone can pull that off mainly because not that many makeup artists know how to do lashes right.

Like the lady who sand the Battle Hymn of the Republic?? Protruding eyes and long lashes don't mix. She should have went shorter and fuller....

FLOTUS's ensemble is NICE, love the line on her coat, and the neckline, the cut, fit.... it is perfection!

Oh, and the jeweled belt and fushia gloves are a nice touch!

I personally do not like bangs. I find them to be childish and unsophisticated --especially full bangs like these. They suggest a mousy personality and are not fitting for a powerful woman.

A few women can pull them off and still look mature and sophisticated, but not many.

In addition to being childish, bangs disrupt the flow of the hair's hemline and create a extreme choppy look which I don't find aesthetically pleasing.

On Michelle, these bangs come down too far, covering her eyebrows. Also they emphasize her jawline, which is already prominent. I just don't like this look and am angry with her stylist.

I noticed that lady too...she was quite young to be sporting those club lashes too.

I don't know I kind of like them. Getting that Marlow Thomas vibe, "That Girl" era, with the lashes and all, don't know if it's suppose to be bad or not, it's not to me.

A zillion similar lace-fronts have just been sold.

At first, I didn't like them, but now they have grown on me. I think they're a little too thick/heavy. Maybe a wispier look or a sweep to the side would fair better, but the bangs do make her look younger.

^I'm the opposite I liked them in the first couple of photos, but on tv I think the whole haircut really enlarges her face. I vote NO.
