itunes question

Hello.....i just downloaded the new version and now none of my songs can be located. Is there a way to locate them all at once?

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

1. So you loaded the lastest version right?

2. Did you download via the website or through iTunes?

3. Mac or PC?

Thru iTunes and PC. I'm getting the exclamation marks on all of my songs.

Yes, but I think there is a way to do them all at once, I don't want to locate them individually, there are thousands

Go to start and click on your Music Folder and see if you your iTunes Folder is there. If its there you simply click on Files in iTunes and Add Folder To Library or File To Library. It's been a while since I've done this but one of them will work for sure.

If you don't see an iTunes in your Music Folder, I want you to go to my computer click on your C: drive. Open your Program Folder and find your Apple Software Update Folder & iTunes Folder. If see your iTunes Folder your music should not be lost.

Go to the Apple Software Update Folder open it. You'll see a big blue Software Update Icon and a folder titled Software Update Resources.

Click on the big blue Software Update Icon and you should see a box pop up checking for updates, if you have any click INSTALL , you should see the blue bar moving across uploading your data and you are back in business. If these doesn't work, we'll try something else.
