Glad for Django & Lincoln!

As far as music goes the other people nominated might as well stay home lol Adele is always sweeping every music award she's nominated for.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Moonrise Kingdom is the one nominated movie I'd give a perfect 5/5 rating.

It might not open in your city until after the Oscars. And then only for a week. So catch it while you can!

Im disapointed that the young actor in Life of Pi wasnt in the running..............He was/is brilliant.

Ang Lee should win for best director..He is amazing...

Life of Pi is a bloody amazing film...very long but I felt like i was in the theatre for only1/2 hour...It was engrossing and philisophical................go see it..................very cleverly done...

I saw it and didn't like it. I expected more visually certainly.

Never read the book. I didn't appreciate the ending.

I've seen 7 so far, 2 of the animated Brave and Frankenweenie, which I guess is better then most years. Lincoln and Flight came and went so fast at my regular theater I hardly knew they were there, so I gotta wait. Most of the others I don't know much about or they just came out.

Caught Argo this morning and loved it.

Saw Zero Dark Thirty last night and I'm not a fan. Just not my kinda movie. I really am not a fan of Kathryn Bigelow. I just don't appreciate her movies.

Well made, sure, but I would not have nominated it.

i actually just finished it.

i really recommend it. it will make you cry and it is INTENSE, but its brilliant. te kid playing the oldest son really deserved a nomination as well.

i agree with you and wavesofbliss.

i am a huge wes anderson fan and have seen most of them in the theater, including this one. it was okay, but i struggled to stay interested. it was my least fave wes movie by a healthy gap of difference from the next one up.

but then a lot of people loved it... but they also seem to not like wes otherwise.

i guarantee; you will cry repeatedly during different parts. some are happy cry, some sad, some just out of shock.

i am actually a little shocked it wasnt nominated for best pic. even more since only 9 pictures got enough nominations to fill the 10 available spots.

I've only seen 'The Avengers'. That's the only type of movie I'd go see in a theater. The rest, meh, I'll wait for them on cable.

i have to say; i am struggling to stay interested in "lincoln".

i love political movies. "all the presidents men" is one of my faves, as are "fair game", "game change", "the contender", any of the 3 oliver stone presidential movies, and many many others. i even watched the recent mini-series "political animals", which i dont think many other people did.

but this movie is just not doing it for me.

it's good, but... its kind of over-long and kind of boring. wonderful performances through and through by a multitude of brilliant actors, incredible cinematograpy and camera work, and stunning visuals, but...

not one of my favorite movies of the year.

.
