I would say that Beyoncé has definite influence, all these people's hate aside. And she worked hard for it too. Not only does she have her own influence as a pop star, but also from her days with Destiny's Child as well. She influences countless women, young and old, and even the First Lady is fond of her and her accomplishments.

Whether you like her or not, she is a success story, made a name for herself as an entertainer and actress, and has incredible influence.

She needs to humble herself, though. And quick.

Its called objective criticism. She is not original, has not innovated anything musically or created anything that has culturally defined music. Its to soon to say whether or not she has influence but as of right now, I would say she doesnt because she has not innovated anything for anybody to be "influence" by. Most of what she does she copies from MJ, Janet, Tina etc.

I would say Brandy has more influence than her and TLC are more iconic than DC which was like a 702, Blaque group

Im going to try to keep my Beyonce bashing to a minimum but one thing that always weirded me out about her is the way she looks sometime. Its like at times she has this blank stare/fake look about her.

Its like shes wrestling with some hidden thoughts or something.

Regardless of if shes crazy or not shes most definitely successful, beautiful and loved by many. I don't know the woman but i would say she's probably overrated as a talent and more powerful than i can understand.

If the music business was more about talent and less about visualization and gimmicks, would we even be having this debate? I have said it before and I will say it again, Beyonce has fallen victim to over exposure. Which is due to the fact that there isn't that much talent in the industry as there once was. Now, when someone with a "mililiter of talent" comes on the scene, there are those who want to see them more and more. The end result is, overexposure. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Had this been the 80's, when the industry was more competative, an artist like her would have just been another artist and nobody would have paid her much mind.
