I went grocery shopping. I have to pass a mall on the way and was shaking my head at all the cars in the parking lot. I get why people do it but I never have and never will.

I don't usually go out on Black Friday. I can almost always find what I'm looking for online leading up to, or directly after, that day. I have gone in the past and may in the future, but generally I don't.

However! I went out and did some shopping early this morning at a couple places I knew were keeping most of their items marked down through the weekend. I got a NICE selection of beautifully colored, super stinky artisanal (stealing that word) candles at EIGHTY percent off. I got six of them for just over the original cost of the biggest in the bunch. That pretty much made my month, because I love stinky candles at Christmas time.

My niece went out on Thursday night and didn't get home until nine A.M. on Friday. I don't know everything she got, but she randomly picked me up a 2.5 pound bag of awesome coffee beans for eight bucks (smart girl). And I gather that she got herself a bunch of expensive makeup super cheap. That's actually the store they went and stood in line for on Thursday night.

I found a $30 hoodie at Meijer for $10. Other than that, nothing. The department stores are a rip off. They had better sales back in the summer.
