First of all, do you really have the flu? Influenza is a respiratory infection, it does not involve vomiting or diarrhea. If you have the latter symptoms, it's more likely you have a norovirus or some other gastrointestinal illness - not the flu. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You need a hot steamy bath or hot steamy sex either one works fine
I'm not joking about the sex bit it really does work - I don't know why it just does - maybe because u sweat it out Also lemon and honey herbal tea Lots of orange juice and pumpkin soup Pineapple and strawberries are the best Cut out the dairy And sleep with a hot water bottle or hot pac against your back Hope u get better soon Oh if u do have sex no kissing because u don't want to spread it [Edited 1/4/13 14:01pm] mailto:www.iDon'tThinkSo.com.Uranus

There is no female around for hot steamy sex.The hot 2 hour bath did wonders for me.I tried Orange juice, but it taste too bitter for my throat now, switch to grapefruit, much better.I also rode the stationary bike during the height of my day, when I had those most energy, which has contributed to weight loss. you poor thing can you ask someone to make some chickensoup for you? make a broth of a free range chicken, a red ajuma pepper(careful though) ginger, spring onion (some mushrooms and noodles if you're already up to it) the pepper and onions have antiseptic qualities to repress infection and the ginger helps to regain your appetite flu lasts a week though so hang in there

That definitely sounds like flu. Does your hair hurt? That's always my defining symptom.
Don't worry about eating unless you feel like it. When I have something like flu, I live on chicken broth, popsicles and diet soda. Or I'll make Roman egg soup. Whisk an egg with a couple tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese, then whisk that into boiling chicken broth. It's velvety smooth and very comforting. And you can just make a cup of it at a time.
Above all, make sure you stay hydrated. Drink plenty of anything you can - water, juice, soda, whatever. It's very easy to become dehydrated when you're feverish.

hot steamy bath and then sex, in the morning and at night made me feel much better. During the day as much ice cold water as I can drink, and chicken soup always brings me back to life.
Hope you feel better soon.

OMG my daughter and I were just saying yesterday we have'nt had a hair hurting fever in years!! its not so much your "hair" but every hair follicle... when you have a bad fever EVERYTHING hurts! Lots of tea and juices t keep yourself from dehydrating...lots of yummy broths or simple soups to keep you nourished...I usually go for chicken or egg drop soups. But today I did a kind of obscure yet traditional Japanese rice soup with egg inside and flavored with a salty green tea topping. I usually crave salty soups when I get the flu so that was right up my alley.
If you're struggling with a fever, try linden flower tea -which you can get at a health food market, or just buy a package of linden flowers from the Goya spice brand. It has a light sweet taste similar to Chamomile ,and if you have it just before bed time you will sweat like crazy and break whatever fever issues you're having (as well as pesky symptoms like skin that's sore to the touch, or that hair/scalp hurt thing Genesia was talking about). After the night of sweating i find you usually go straight to the nose blowing, expectorant phase where all the yucky phlegmy stuff comes out, and you at least feel a little less weak and more functional...

Exactly. When the hair hurts, I know I have a pretty good fever cookin'. Haven't had that in a long time - mainly because I get a flu shot every year. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. Chop up a red bell pepper and halve the hottest chili you dare. Halve a cucumber and put to one side.
Place either an extra quilt or blanket on your bed but leave room for your feet etc. to ventilate. Prepare a hot water bottle.
Put some tcp in a bowl and place it next to your bed with some cotton wool, cotton buds, a mallet and a towel. Make sure you have a phone near the bed.
Pour a shot of whiskey for yourself, don't overdo things, it's imperative you stay as hydrated as you can.
Take a hot bath with some lemon slices, orange slices and some one legged jelly babies. If you suffer with epilepsy, place a small load of washing and powder in the bath before you get in. That way, if you have a fit while soaking, you'll get your laundry done and it should be ready for rinsing by the time you're feeling better.
After your bath, drip dry in a steamy bathroom for 4 minutes. Place some toilet paper sheets all over yourself and roll yourself in talcum powder. Give yourself a light dusting before retiring to your sickbed.
When comfortably in bed, take some cotton wool and place it in each ear. Take the hot water bottle and place it under your ass. Take a fistful of the bell pepper and snort into each nostril then 'cork' with some cotton wool.
Dip the cucumber in the bowl of tcp and slip it carefully into your japseye. Use the mallet if you have any problems and mop your sweating brow with the towel.
When you think you're ready to quit, take the chili and rub it in your eyes before bottling it into your anus. Cross your legs as tight as you can and keep them that way until cramp sets in. Now reach for the phone and call the emergency services. Explain to them that you've followed a prescription given to you by a Fonky witch doctor and that you're very sorry.
Failing that. Plenty of water, sleep, bathe and blow your nose. Doctors if it keeps up.
Get well soon.
Edit: Think yourself lucky I forgot about the cotton buds. [Edited 1/4/13 18:59pm]

Chicken soup with alot of veggies is good. Tea with lemon and honey. Oranges and other vitamin C fruits/juices. Alot of rest/sleep.

That's most likely from the fever. (There's a reason they call them "fever blisters.") Herpes hides in nerves and, when the body is under stress, flares up. Once you have the infection, it's always there - you just don't see a manifestation of it. It's most likely you were infected long ago and the flu stressed your body enough to cause a flare.
