What's a good homewarming gift? Besides wine....are gift cards ok? I'm taking a 3 1/2 hour ride on a bus and I don't want to carry anything heavy. Anyone have any ideas? unlucky7 reincarnated | |

A gift card is ok, because there is so much that he or she needs to get for the new house.
Give a card of a store with nice house stuff, or even an Ikea card can be a blessing.

A pretty candle with a holder, or a jar candle, is a great housewarming present. Just don't pick anything that has a strong or annoying scent to it. Keep it light and fresh. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Since you will be travelling a long distance on a bus, I would say a gift card is the way to go, but if you want to give an actual gift that isn't too heavy, then as others have said, a candle is a nice gift.
Other general ideas for housewarming gifts: Crock pot, set of drinking glasses, kitchenware, a plant, a picture frame, blender, can opener, tea kettle, flatware, mug, kitchen mits, set of knives, etc. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

A 60" 3D TV. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

If you know the stores they like to shop at, get a gift card. Then they can buy what they want.

moderatorI would suggest that when you get there & take the house tour; Once you're alone, & wondering around the place by yourself, you should try to bust a nut in a corner of every room you can.

i just got someone a Loo Book 
its almost the same concept as the cofee table book butt this is obviously for the dunny ~ and inside the loo book r photos of toilets all over the world in the most unusual places
