I met & worked with Michael Ealy on that great show "Sleeper Cell".. . He is a very humble dude...Wish him much happiness...
Michael Ealy is off the MarketI’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, ladies. It’s been a rough year for you ladies — with so many men coming out of the closet (Frank Ocean, Anderson Cooper). If you’ve been having a bad day, it’s about to get worse. According to celebrity blogger Miss Jia, actor Michael Ealy and his longtime girlfriend tied the knot.
How was he able to keep his marriage a secret for so long? Maybe Michael thought that the mere mention that he was dating a would spark outrage. But what would make him think that? will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Maybe Khatira didn't want it mentioned until now, not Mike.

Great! Congrats to him and his new wife.
It's crazy retarded how women on the Essence site are bashing hm because he didn't marry an African American woman. I was like wow and I'm an African American woman myself...but really is it that serious? Falling in love doesn't have a preference on race. I thought we're entering year 2013 not 1613. [Edited 12/22/12 9:26am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

And also they wouldn't even be caught dead with this motherfucker so why are they sweating him? It's 2013, not 1973... smh

I know right. Sometimes Essence can be on some bullshit. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Exactly... it's sad. You think they be above it all but nah they always gotta act like what a famous black man does affects them.

There are varying degrees of stupidity. The Ealy backlash on Essence.com reminds me of sistas' fake indignant outrage over trivial matters like Denzel Washington's onscreen interracial romances.

Mississippi (sp) Marsalas was noteworthy film.

The only thing I recall the Ealy playing in, was a TV with Ms. Berry some years ago.
Who Mr. Ealy marries and why is no one's business... the operative words, no one's business.
I would recommend those sista's over on the Essence board this...
a. Get a life. b. STOP holding on to sometype of loyalty hang-up thing they have towards Black males. c. STOP defining their self-worth or the lacktherof on whether Black men "pick them" or not.
Life is too short, there's so much more to do.

That's a great movie, and one of his most overlooked.

They were smart got to enjoy their honeymoon without all the noisys. Congratulations to them.

That's the one with Salli Richardson, right? Yeah I dug that one...

I believe they had agents who were smart enough to keep out of their business. You know celebrity agents are always giving out information to the paparazzi and media about someone's personal business, especially the ones on top.

No, in this 1991 movie Denzel portrays a small businessman engaging in an intimate relationship with a woman of East Indian heritage (Sarita Choudhury). It's available on DVD.

She looks AA to me. Look at that kitchen.

If she's black, then it's like Howard Hewett's much lighter skinned wife. It's often presumed she was white but I read on them in Ebony (or Jet) and apparently she's black. Either way, she's a dimepiece and I wish the couple well.

Regina King stated that black women need to start dating outside their race, and maybe that'll solve their insecurities.
In some ways I empathize, but in general I don't get it at all.
Maybe it's a case of watching too much TV and living in a media saturated environment. If Michael Ealy wasn't famous I feel black women wouldn't give him the time of day. If they didn't constantly involve themselves in the media cycle of black men flocking to white women they wouldn't care.

Or maybe black women just need to stop paying attention to Hollywood and get that (single) black man they want and stop worrying about black celebs not doing it. I get it in a way, "there's not too many famous black couples" but at this point Hollywood romances are as real as a $2 or $3 bill. Some manage to be real but some others are just for show. Before I get into this...
Was Mr. Ealy on his ass when he married this young lady? Is Mr. Ealy just starting out in a very iffy occupation called the entertainment industry? Should she be suspect because she didn't marry him while he was broke?
For some reason a lot of Black women think it's wrong to have standards are demand men bring something more to the table of life other than their dicks. The bullshit mantra for a couple of decades have been, Black women are materialistic, they always ask you what do you do, when I was poor they didn't give me the time a day. I could go on and on with the bullshit that's being shoveled and believed.
Most Black women are not looking for pie in the sky men with bucks, they are looking for self-sustaining, gotta got damn plan for life men. Many of these young men aren't succeeding at that; you are a special type of trifling when you don't have common sense to make sure you can take care of yourself. Especially when you have to depend on other people for your livelihood; yet with your history you still haven't worked towards be self sustaining.
Part of the problem is Back women have been carrying, making excuses, and lying for Black men far to long... as mother's, sisters, grandmothers, girlfriends and wives. Silly ass women allowing trifling ass men tell them what they shouldn't demand and what they should accept. Some punk ass losers... Lord hav' mercy.

You have to wonder though why women always fall for trifling motherfuckers...

As my 82 year old uncles has always said.
"Truth be told many Black men have never been about nothin', if it wasn't for Black women are asses would've been grass a long time ago. They held everybody up but since a lot of them have gotten stuck on stupid, the community has hit rock bottom." Painful to admit yes but it's the truth.
