Who has time to post death hoaxes on the internet?

There's one about Adam Sandler that someone sent to me by way of text message...an article saying that he was killed in a snowboarding accident. I googled it to see if it was true (had an inkling it was fake and it was confirmed) and apparently the same death hoax was posted about him dying in this so-called snowboarding accident in December, November and September of last year. What in the world? Who has so much damn time on their hands to post fake articles about the deaths of celebs who are clearly still alive? disbelief

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

If I had a dollar for every time I'd read that Roger Moore has passed away, I'd have enough money to buy all the unsold Prince Opuses (Opi?).

This stuff has been going on decades even before the internet. I remember Paul McCartney was dead in the 70's and Jerry Mathers (The Beaver) died in Vietnam.

I remember on Twitter, they posted the same rumor about Bill Cosby dying. I think it was even a trending topic once. neutral The actual Bill Cosby had to tweet to confirm to folks he was still breathing.
