I don't think watching porn makes anyone a loser, anymore than an avid football fan is a loser for substitute his love of football for watching the game instead of playing it.

Porn can be part of a person's sexual experience (or a couple's). I worked in an adult boutique, and couples used to come in and ask about video titles that would help them role play, etc. Some even watched the female oriented stuff like watching a romance movie during date night.

I don't even buy the crap that it's affecting people's egos or self-image. Yes, there are hyper beautiful stars and super-hung men, and that can affect the way that men and women view themselves.

But the porn industry is so extensive, that it also caters to people who want to watch real people doing it. Most folks that I know are starting to be actually turned off by anything that looks staged or uses hyper-beautiful people. A good, hard, nasty pounding from someone who looks like your next door neighbor can be hot as hell.

Ultimately, porn is fantasy. It's entertainment. And it is filling a need in some people.

But like ALL things (let's face it, 90% of the television people watch is poisonous), it depends on the viewers approach and self-control.
