It's a poor substitute for a husband. Check that - it's an unacceptable substitute for a husband. I find it a necessary and desirable supplement to a husband, not a substitute or replacement. I'm the mistake you wanna make

About what Schro said:
While the way he put it may sound a tad bit extreme and harsh (and it makes it inevitable that many people will feel personally attacked and will voice their disapprovement [something that I, personally, find alright and cool; I'm a fan of a nice, provocative, in-your-face thesis]), I must say that I don't watch porn either.
I wouldn't go as far as condemning people who do, but I agree that I think it's somehow sexier not to watch porn, but just to fucking DO it.
Dunno, whenever I watch other people have sex, I ask myself why I don't just have sex myself. Isn't it way more fun?

Obviously sex is much more fun, but not everyone has the luxury of being able to get laid on a regular basis. Of course porn or erotic films/photos are not a real "substitute" for sex but it certainly helps when it comes to "self-stimulation"... as long as people don't get addicted to it or try to get their sexual partner to fulfill expectations based on porn - real sex usually doesn't look like a porno flick.
Some porn is sick IMO and using your imagination is preferrable but I don't see the problem with ALL porn/erotica, some of it is very stimulating in a good way.

Here are a few things that run RAMPANT on the org, In this thread and in many others and there are alot of you who do it.. and its getting soooo old... And people wonder why this place is dying.. Please get over yourselves and STOP judging others.. And stop assuming stuff about people you know nothing about... None of you are any better than anyone else no matter what you think...
Self-righteousness (also called sanctimoniousness, sententiousness, and holier-than-thou attitudes[1]) is a feeling or display of (usually smug) moral superiority[2] mostly derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person or of people with different (usually conflicting) beliefs, affiliations, ect.
Superiority complex is a psychological defense mechanism in which a person's feelings of superiority counter or conceal his or her feelings of inferiority
Egotism is the drive to maintain and enhance favorable views of oneself, and generally features an inflated opinion of one's personal features and importance — intellectual, physical, social and other
Élitism is the belief or attitude that some individuals, who form an élite – a select group of people with a certain ancestry, intrinsic quality or worth, higher intellect, wealth, Religion, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes – are those whose influence or authority is greater than that of others; whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight; whose views or actions are most likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities, or wisdom render them especially fit to govern.[
Grandiosity is chiefly associated with narcissistic personality disorder, [1] It refers to an unrealistic sense of superiority, a sustained view of oneself as better than others that causes the narcissist to view others with disdain or as inferior. It also refers to a sense of uniqueness, the belief that few others have anything in common with oneself and that one can only be understood by a few or very special people

since their are way too many men/people that don't think for themselves, know their desires, their bodies, their turn ons, and no imagination or creativity, I tend to find there are a lot of losers who substitute porn for reality
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
^ I've noticed some folks actually wanting what happened in porn scenes to happen to them. It's like they don't know that porn films do retakes all the time. They'll have folks stop tape because they didn't want the person to come too early and if they did, they stop and have to get the guy hard again for the set. So I don't think being in porn films isn't much of a good thing for the actors as it would be for the person who watches a DVD from it or looks at it online.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Actually, I think people who know their desires and turn-ons are the ones that turn to porn because the know exactly what they like and are either single or even more often than not their partner is not into the same things they are, or maybe not willing to have sex at all or at the very least on a regular basis.
If you can't get your needs meet in reality it's at least exciting to watch it. I don't think that makes someone a loser.
The logic that porn is for losers because it's a substitution for the real thing is pretty ridiculous. Not everyone is in a relationship, or (how was suggested they should be) married. Using that logic, not only would porn be for losers but so would masturbation.
So really, what some are saying on here is:
Not in a relationship? You're a loser Not married? You're a loser Masturbate? You're a loser.
