It's never been my thing and the only time i would eat it is if my

grandmother would make it. She would make it with just the pineapple

and the green things lol and nuts. I always hated dates and raisins which

to me are the most distasteful and unpleasant things to chew on this earth.

Since she's been gone for 19 years i haven't eaten anyone's fruit cake since.

My uncle makes a fruit cake every christmas and you can smell the liquor drenching from

that sucker.

I don't like raisins, either. But the lovely thing about making fruitcake is that you can use whatever kind of fruit you like. You just look at how much fruit the recipe calls for in total (a pound or whatever), then use any kind of dried fruit or candied peel.

In my Christmas pudding, I usually use dried cherries, cranberries, blueberries, pears, dates and figs. No raisins. No apricots.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sorry , for the emotes. But I'd rather have a red velvet cake instead of fruit cake. I don't like the taste of fruit cake.

I'm starting to regret that I didn't make Christmas pudding this year. Fortunately, I still have some from last year in the 'frig.

And I'm pretty sure I can persuade my mom to make some before I go to Arizona at the end of January. Hell, she might even make it without me asking - since I ask for it every year! lol
