SoulAlive

I used to send out alot of Christmas cards every year.....between 20 and 30 cards. This year,I only sent out three. It seems that everyone would rather say "Merry Christmas" on Facebook instead...lol....no one bothers to send out cards anymore,so I don't feel inspired to send out cards either.

I was always big into sending Christmas cards. Every year I'd hand-write personal messages in each card for each friend/family member in my address book, including relatives in Honduras and Mexico.

In fact I usually took this time to write letters to my important relatives (grandmother, uncles & aunts) and send them pictures of the kids.

Last year with the craziness I was undergoing, I sent cards to only a very select few.

This year, this season snuck up on me and I started freaking out this weekend b/c it's a week from Christmas and I haven't mailed out a single card.

THEN I realized..."Hey! I haven't GOTTEN a single effin' card myself!" neutral

So I think that I'm skipping it this year for the most part. shrug

What about you?

I do this each year ... and yes i get them back smile

Y'all have so much class over there!

I sent out about 20 cards this year as I do every year. I notice that some folk will reciprocate after they have received my card. So far, I have received one card that was not a reciprocation.

I do this...however this is after I've sent out cards on my list. Sometimes I'll receive cards from folks who weren't on my list that I mistakenly forgot about...then I'll send them one. I don't take it personal, since some folks do that with me as well...but most of everyone I send out cards to send me cards too.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Does anyone here decorate christmas cards...I really enjoy stickers and scrapbook items and have been using them to enhance cheap cards so I could save money and work with all the items I have sitting around and making use of them creatively

Well it's official.

This marks the first time in TWENTY-FIVE YEARS that I do not send out a single Christmas card!
(not counting the one I included in my org SS gift)

The end of the world is definitely near. nod

I mostly get Christmas facebook updates from people outside of family, but my family sends CHristmas cards. I think it's because they're not thrilled about technology though, not because they think it's more sincere.

Christmas Cards & Birthday Cards are my number one Gift givers. I put a good chunk of change inside. My Family and friends need Cold Hard Cash so that's what i give them. I'll shop for something special if I know they've mentioned an Item but other than that I give Card filled with Cash.

No one ever complains...

Not after we all start sippin' on that Christmas card wine we ain't! falloff

I like writing the cards out with little messages & stuff. We have a system going on in the house where Old Dude writes the cards for family and our "German" friends in German. I write out the cards for our English speaking friends (mostly mixed couples we chill out with one German Spouse, the others are native English speakers) and then we just present each other with our stacks and sign off on 'em assembly line style. Hopefully none of his cards have read anything to the effect of "You suck monkeyballs and we hate your guts" in German. lol

I enjoy sending christmas cards to family/friends. I usually give my co-workers and other people in my work environment the cards in person. I do get mad when someone I gave a card to does not give me one in return. So next christmas, I will not be giving a card to someone who has not given me one in the past. There are several family members who have not sent me cards for a few years. I also send E-cards in addition to a christmas or other greeting card!

During this season of Valentine, to all the ladies I know (and to some I don't), I like to give out heart shaped cards, along with some heart shaped candy,

in hopes of receiving some heart shaped ass in return.
