They got old.

And still are beautiful.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

They sure did and natural breasts too. And they had meat on their bones. None of this skinny, sickly anorexic crackhead look like today. And nothing was shaven either, and more importantly, nothing was shaven on the men either. lol Men were MEN, not sissy looking bitchboys which is considered sexy these days. lol

Valerie Bertinelli still is. I saw her about a year or two ago and she still looks beautiful. She was a child in the 1970s though and was more of a 1980s adult beauty but she's always been one of the most beautiful women on TV to me though because she doesn't look overdone with her look and doesn't have that "I've been working out" hard look to her. Just a nice shapely natural feminine look.

Marie Osmond is still drop dead gorgeous but I think she may have had some plastic surgeries.

Andy is a four letter word.

TRUE! Everything was more natural back then; the Dolly Partons of the world with tig ole fake bitties were the exception and not the rule. The size 0 Diana Rosses and Chers were, too. Part of what made their look so special was that they were among the few people that tiny in mainstream showbiz who rocked their bony rib cage-non arm-thigh having selves as fiercely as the curvy bombshells that were the norm.

Y'know...I often see "What do they look like now?" features online. And generally, the attitude is, "OMG - this person used to be ssssoooooooo beautiful! What happened to him/her?!" It's called normal aging, folks.

Take Jayne Kennedy. Yes, she was drop-dead gorgeous in the 70 and 80s. But look at what that woman has done with her life. She is even more beautiful - even if she isn't a size 4 anymore. And that it true for many, many people.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Absolutely. I'm hoping I can look half as radiant as any of these ladies when I reach their ages, weight gain or not. They're all vibrant, vital women with mature beauty.

I saw Jayne on Life After and I have to agree. She's aging graciously.

Who here remembers 70's sitcom guest-star-on-everything Barbi Benton?

Barbi Benton - The American Humane Association's Hero Dog Awards - Arrivals

Former 70's Playmate and Hugh Hefner girlfriend actress Barbi Benton attends the American Humane Association's Dog Hero Awards in October 2012. although she largely retired from acting and singing in the 80's, she still occasionally makes the rounds appearing as herself on Tinseltown chat shows, or the occasional reality show focusing on retro Hollywood like "Million Dollar Rooms", in which her house was featured.

I recall seeing a documentary about Mr. Hefner in the late 90's and they showed footage of when he was with Ms. Benton. He said not marrying Benton was one of the biggest mistakes of his life, she got tired of waiting for him to come around to the idea. They way she left was pretty dramatic, she was supposed to accompany him on a trip abroad, she never showed up to his jet. He appeared broken up still when he recalled their time together and their subsequent break-up.

Do you know I never realized she was a former Playmate/Hugh Hefner girlfriend until just a few years ago? She made such a smooth transition into 70's pop culture as an actress/ singer when I was a kid, she just seemed like any typical "girl next door" tv starlet at the time: seemed like she was on Love Boat or Fatasy Island every other week, with a music special somewhere in between on Saturday tv.

I get kinda nostalgic thinking about the tv and pop culture from back then. It also makes me look at the current generation of pop culture stars and want to tell them, "you know, everything you're going through, thinking you're king or queen of the Universe and your life playing itself out as it is, we already saw this 30 some years ago" lol

What a woman.

I also think black women of the 70s were hotter because they seemed more natural.

I never gave it much thought but you are so right! That really kinda of surprising because the entertainment community then was very haughty and had a pecking order on who could and was considere an actor/actress.

Some one should tell the current tv/pop culture crowd they are on,"repeat." lol

As Sir Elton John said, "I've Seen This Movie Too...."

Natural beauty period. Not a fake hair or titty among them. All the plastic surgery available today was not back then.

Jayne was a surprise though. I din't know she had gained so much weight.
