You're so right about all the cleverly masked plot parallels - I was flabbergasted to read it spelled out like this in a compare and contrast. :clap: I saw two films this year, probably my favourite films Take Shelter & We Need to Talk About Kevin - my husband and I can argue endlessly about the female lead roles in the films. I very much relate to Tilda Swintons self-absorbed and overly analytical character (knowing full well motherhood isn't what it's cracked up to be) and my husband loved Jessica Chastain's strong and "supportive" wife/mother role. It always brings us to city chick vs country chick, super intelligent vs average, university educated vs not, religion. Does it make it easier to stand up for what you believe in when you are kind of ignorant of alternative views etc  I'm the mistake you wanna make | |

I think it must be out on DVD soon. I've only ever seen Michael Shannon in Boardwalk Empire, so its gonna be weird seeing him on screen not playing a complete nut for a change! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site! | |
