Warm weather (finally!)

Finally, after months of snow, cold, and ice... I think we hit a temperature above 60 degrees (Fahrenheit) today. I was even able to get this out of the garage:

put the top down, and go for a drive. Oh, how I missed it...

I think I need to move to Florida. sigh

We get temperatures like that here in the summer. smile Granted, most days we don't hit 100, but it's not unheard of either. Fortunately, air conditioning is not a luxury around here... even my first apartment in Indy, which was cheap and kinda cruddy, had central A/C.

Wanna switch? wink
Unfortunately, it's a very very dry heat here in Sacramento. I moved here from the north bay last year in the middle of the summer, and at work during the day we had to leave our car windows open a bit so our windsheilds didn't crack. Supposedly, it's happened to co-workers. i've never seen it though.

I am NOT looking forward to summer. sigh

Thanks! Since I don't have any kids, it's kinda like my baby. smile It's a total blast to drive and handles extremely well... it's a car for people who find pleasure in the act of driving.

Too bad it spends the winter in the garage... the performance tires it has are great on dry roads, but they have zero traction on snow. Plus, I figure that salt and winter grime can't be good for the car. So I bought an old BMW for my "winter car."

Heh... I discovered that I'd likely be able to get a Minnesota law license without having to take their bar exam (one was enough, thanks), and I asked my wife how she would feel about moving to the Twin Cities. She said, "No, it's too cold there."

Really? I have two friends who have a New York law license; so would they be able to get a Minnesota license without a test also?

As for the weather I don't think it's that bad. The last 4 winters have been REAL easy (fingers crossed).

From what I've been told--and I haven't verified this--if you're already admitted in another state, and your score was high enough on the Multistate Bar Exam (which almost every state uses as part of its bar exam), Minnesota won't make you take any further tests.

I don't know what my MBE score was--the Indiana Board of Law Examiners only gives you your scores if you flunk. (I guess their position is, "You passed, so why do you care?"). However, since the MBE is created and graded by an outside organization, I can get my MBE score from them.
