I know that dress well from work: it is a Halston- from the 2011 Spring collection.

Halle wore it to the FiFi Awards. The Fifi's are a 40 year old awards ceremony for the perfume industry that is nicknamed the Oscars of the fragrance world.

I'm guessing Halle is there because she is a face for one or a few of the cosmetic companies that are represented in the nominations, or being that she has 10,000 different perfumes of her own licensed under the global COTY label, showed up of her own merits as a celebrity perfumer.

The Fifis ( which are held in New York) are divided into 4 catagories, "Luxury", "Nouveau", "Private Label" and Popular Appeal; I know Halle may have won one or 2 times before- her perfumes fall into the "Popular Appeal" catagory- these are perfumes usually licensed with film, music, or pop culture celebrities--- with the "Luxe/Luxury" being the most exclusive designer fragrances, Nouveau being popular designer fragrances, and Private Label is something like Avon, H&M, Victoria's Secret, Zara, or the Gap. Just as a comparison I do remember back in the day the kinds of perfumes that would win in pop or mainstream appeal like Halle were by Elizabeth Taylor, Jaqueline Smith, Enjoli, Lady Steson, and Sophia Loren.

The dress she is wearing comes in black and is fully opaque with no chance for that amount of NIP to be shown, even under Tungsten lights. I can't say whether she was flashing coochie or not, but the transparent fabric with bare breasts showing is a terrible photoshop job.

She might be going commando on the bottom, but I'm not sure about photoshopping. What stylists generally do for daring cut dresses is put on a standard nude Calvin Klein flesh colored thong because the fit is so good on those and they don't usually show panty lines. In case of emergency or a more non-co-operative outfit, we will generally fashion and create a teeny tiny, (but slimming!) panty out of a new pair of flesh colored pantyhose, , manipulating its silhouette to fit within the confines or the cut of the dress and to guard against "coochie mooning" when a person sits or rises from a car seat.
