I guess I shave it.I didn't realize men grew it on purpose.Have no clue about this.

Those guys do not have long hair.

I have long hair myself (yes, "long hair" in the same sense as WOMEN and HIPPIES). I don't really have big sideburns, or at least intend to have them.

Sometimes I forget to shave / trim them and realize how stupid they look when I happen to see myself from an unusual angle by using a mirror. From the front, you don't really notice it.

Bad example,but men with alot longer hair have sideburns.My hair is shoulder length.It's been about 9 months since last cut.

Everybody here in the library with moderate to long hair has those sideburns.I have yet see one that looks like me.

Side burns- YES!! This woman sure as hell does! When Prince had those long sideys during the Gold experience era...

Hold on.... Prince is fine, has great bone structure...

but if a dude has a small chin... it will only make his face look wierd and accentuate any overbite.

So if the jawline is on point... then yes, sideburns will look nice on any guy.

On second thought....

this guy has a smallish chin and is rocking nice long sideburns

maybe you should post a photo of your face ans we'll tell you whether you should do a side-burn makeover or not.
